Oh my.

Because I'm in a bad mood, I rowed over to Skins's island and nabbed the first campfire at the top of the page there.

I'm in an RV in Dayton, Ohio.........would you run from the storm hitting the East Coast, or not?
I'm in a fifth wheel. This means that I have to pack everything up, hitch up, and get the hell out of Dodge. I do NOT relish the thought of doing that. I could also just leave the RV here, and head out in my truck, West, to a hotel.

What would you do, if you were me?

1. What's your local weather saying?

I'd go with their guesstimates.

It would be nice if you could find a friend with a nice, well-built warehouse that you could park in!

2. Sit tight.

Dayton will be out of the storm. Or you could motor over to Columbus. We're not going to get much of the bad stuff.

5. I am flying into Columbus (via Washington DC) on Sunday night... watching the forecast and I think you will be fine according to what I'm looking at

7. Last I checked, OH was not on the coast.

Am I missing something here?

8. If you're in Ohio why are you worried about a storm hitting the coast?

That's kind of odd. If I were you I'd buy a map.

9. Don't run.

I am in western PA and almost every prediction is that the worst of anything will not get this far west. This doesn't mean that it won't be sucky weather with some wind and rain/snow. The 7 day forecast is for rain and lows in the 30's with highs in the 40's...so that sucks. But it isn't enough to run from.

10. In Dayton? Heck no.

You will probably have a day of heavy rain. slush ro snow with 30-40 mph winds, but nothing more than that

11. Dayton should be fine. I would maybe wait a bit if you were going east or SE

12. It depends.

If you leave the RV and it gets hit hard will that be a bigger burden? If so I would hitch up and leave.

Currently we are in line for a direct hit and we are staying for now. We do have bags packed in case of mandatory evacuation.

I wish we could hitch up our home and move it.

13. Advice for Dayton

to be super safe, go to the hotel. If you are on your own, check out nearest hotel for availability, then stay put until the last minute. Tueday is the earliest the storm might be in your area. Get water, food, batteries tomorrow. Figure out where the high ground is, and what bars are going to be open. Good LUCK.

14. Sounds as if you already ran from the East Coast if you're in Dayton

I'm not even leaving Harpers Ferry, WV.

15. I hear that there may be wet snow in WV and eastern OH.

Dayton is pretty far west and except for wind and rain/snow should be ok. If there are things that might flutter away, you might bring them in or roll them up.

Yep. First big mistake. Still time to PM Nads for road conditions...maybe see if any roadside forest fires are raging in Ohio.

But the DUmmy is doing it all backwards, he should be driving into the heart of the storm. Park the fith wheel on the leeward side of a building. Durring the worst part of the storm he needs to break into an amusement park and loot the place. that way he can get injured by flying debris and sue the park owners.

makes perfect DU sense.

Good grief. I hope that idiot doesn't have a clue how to vote.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

The primitive's a "she," but I don't recall much about her excepting she's getting up in years, and is a sour sullen slatternly slut.

I think she's one of those who write to, and fall in love with, prisoners--someone correct me if I'm wrong.

She's been around the block quite a few times.

These idiots negate our informed votes and that sucks.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I expect the storm surge to reach Dayton.  She should stick around because there's likely to be dead bodies dangling from the trees, and she can use her RV to help transport them away before the TV cameras arrive.

That's the one.  She's also on the hit list by a ton of DUmmies who want her banned for being anti-abortion and pro-life.

DUmbasses shore is DUmb. It's in an RV. You always flee in an RV. No matter how far away the threat.

DUmmie has to flee westward ASAP. If something happens out west then go north DUmb DUmmie. If that gets threatening go south. I hear Matamoros is a nice place to go RVing. :-)

WHY has BIG BRObama not sent her a check to get a house with a microwave oven and some condoms so she can have fun with (s-e-x) and a Prius and a windmill for the backyard?

He has "that big fund somewhere" to pay for it all!   O-)
