Our headquarters shut down today (located just outside of Boston), so I'm lucky enough to be able to stay hunkered down at home in this mess.

Lots of wind and rain, I'd say gusts up to about 30 mph at times now...some of our trees are looking a little too "horizontal" for my liking, so fingers crossed they stay put.

Nothing compared to all y'all directly in the path of this bitch... please please please everyone stay safe.  :(

My wife and I went out looking for some extra water and flashlights. Not one place had water, and only one place had flashlights. Yeah, they wanted $15.00 for one that cost $1.00 of the Dollar Store. Of course we just got candles and came home.

Our site in Bristol, PA is closed today and tomorrow.  I haven't heard from any others.  I think the one in the Bronx is still open.

In one news report they were saying the police are still getting calls of help to get off the barrier islands. This after Christy has been on the TV every half hour telling people to GET OUT or DIE for two days. Must be a bunch of DUmmies  :mental:


Another report police are getting calls from people who already left but want the police to see how their house is doing.  :mental:

So far so good with the gusts here, I'd say maybe 20-30 MPH, lost power twice for about a minute each time.

If you have tv access...there's a crane dangling way up high in NYC. Estimated to be 8-10 stories in length comparing it to adjacent buildings. Area is being evac'd. If that sucker falls....  :panic: Can't they get someone up into the cab and bring it down? Or is that too risky?


441 going from downtown up into the mountains is closed up in the mountains. 8 inches of snow as of 2pm and still snowing. It's about 30-45 minutes from me. We still have wind advisories out. Wind picks up then almost quits. Weather predictions keep changing from rain to snow and back and forth. Not supposed to see much improvement before Thursday. Glad I hadn't gotten the Halloween decor outside yet.  :(

FoxNews weather person reporting that this is going to hit CHICAGO with severe lake effects!! 8-12 ft waves, high winds and snow!!! Is this sucker going to go all the way to the Rockies?!?
