I will be here as I dont have to work and I will check in...

I predict we will gets lots of rain, but nothing we cant handle. If i lose electricity, I will grab Jingles and head over to mums, and vice-versa!!

I noticed that, in the last hour, The Weather Channel has taken the box around Tuesday's forecast, which indicated that "tropical storm conditions are likely for your area."  Now, the forecast just has rain.  Lots of rain.  

The tradk of the storm takes it over Cape May, and across Philly and up through PA to head towards Rochester NY.  But, Wednesday, it turns back to the east and goes up towards Syracuse.

We're on the email list for Lowe's, they're supposed to get a delivery tomorrow and send an email to everyone on the list, 1st come 1st served, it's a bit of a drive so we're not expecting anything.

Local weather at 11pm Sat gave 3 different "tracks" for the next few days due to Sandy. One has us getting SNOW!!

For crying out loud, I'm in E TN!!! This is one huge F'n storm!!!

And Bloomberg said no evac's will be necessary?

And it looks like it's fizzling into another overhyped storm.  A good-sized one, yes, but hardly the "Oh noes, we's all gonna DIE!!!" type of storm.

We're still here, but the tsunami warning for Hawaii (7.7 earthquake off of BC) is fighting for airtime.  

We're gonna get a bunch of rain and wind, but that should be it.

ETA:  The "High Wind Watch" has become a "High Wind Warning."  Trees are gonna fall.  Power lines are gonna get severed.

New England is going to get hammered with torrential rain and wind as it makes it's way  through.   While we may not be hit straight on, there will be widespread power outages because the leaves are still on the trees, and the rain will be significant.

The weather on Monday will get steadily worse as it progresses.  Catastrophic damage? no.    A day you don't want to out driving, and certainly don't want your children on school buses?  absolutely.

Got up on the roof yesterday and tarred anything that looked suspicious(I do every year) and cleaned out the gutters. Got a weeks worth of firewood stacked on the front porch. I'm gonna bake a few loaves of french bread today. Got cheese and gallons of wine and of course my chickens so french toast sounds good. Bring it!

Yesterday, on FNC, it was mentioned that the five refineries in question account for 6% of total US gasoline production.  So it won't be a big jump, but it'll be a jump.

Yep over in this swing state he was trying to work it jumped to almost 3.50 a gal from 3.09.  I just topped off as the last station nearby who still had it 3.09.

All schools are canceled in MA.   Governor wants private businesses to close also.   The lines for the gas station were insane this morning.   

We are all ready to ride out the nasty weather.   Be safe everyone.

We'll get between 1.5" and 1.75" of rain.  A college roomate of my wife's lives on Cape May.  Hopefully, they're outta there by now.
