Middle East Geography
« on: October 25, 2012, 06:59:49 AM »
"Syria is Iran’s only ally in the Arab world. It’s their route to the sea."

I had to look at a map to see what he was talking about the other night.  Was he talking about the Mediterranean Sea?

If you looked at a map, and you don't get the connection between the terrorism, anti-Zionism, and the temporary ability of Persians to mutually hate Israel with their Arab muzzie friends, why are you still here?

Most likely, since that is why Syria itself has remained such a puppetmaster in Lebanon.

Wouldn't you agree that blueberry pie is underappreciated?

CC, you are aware, aren't you, that it's highly preferred to use parchment paper or aluminum foil to line baking pans with? Makes cleanup SO MUCH EASIER!  :yum: :newyear: :tumbleweed:

BTW, Syria's access to the Mediterranean Sea is also why Russia is involved.

However, I much prefer peanut butter pie..........

I'll admit that blueberry pie tastes good, just like apple, peach and pumpkin. BUT if you want a real Southern pie, you gotta go.......
Quote
OLD-FASHIONED PEANUT BUTTER PIE

1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons melted butter
6  eggs
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups white syrup
2 unbaked 9" deep dish pie crusts

Beat eggs, mix in sugar, syrup, peanut butter and melted butter. Pour mixture into pie shells. Wet rim of crusts to prevent burning

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Variations: use crunchy style peanut butter, sprinkle top with crushed nuts before baking, or both.

...the Southern style; simple, sweet, and quick. Serve with a fork!

Blueberry Pie MUST be made with fresh blueberries.  That canned stuff is crap!

One of the local places around here, which I've mentioned before, makes a "Very Berry" pie.  Strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries in the pie.  The last one that I brought home made it to the 30-hour mark before being completely consumed.
