 Because, deep down, most Republicans know that Obama is a capable president and the country would be OK even if Romney loses. A Romney win would be a pleasant surprise to them, but a Romney loss wouldn't crush them... they don't like him very much anyway.
 
But for us, a Romney win means the SCOTUS becomes more conservative. The safety net begins to go away. War in Iran is likely.
 
We KNOW that an Obama loss is devastating to the country and the world.

The rich will be OK no matter who wins. The poor and middle class will be destroyed if Obama doesn't win.
 
We have reason to be more nervous.

Voter fraud and suppression is always the Dems doing. Just like the recent phony letters going out to Republicans now. The Dems have no class and will stop at nothing to win an election - Up to and including registering your dog to vote ...

Oh yes, and in one county in NC, votes for Romney kept switching to Obama electronically. Made a lot of people upset.
Oh oh oh, and then there is the whole issue with the libs calling in reinforcements in the form of the UN....so they can watch us vote in battle ground states.

They said the issue has been fixed and that there haven't been anymore complaints...I assumed they correct the votes...hopefully.
But it could just mean they just fixed the machines.

How odd that my very liberal husband is fine with a Romney win.  He's not predicting global catastrophe, hurricanes, floods, or that we, middle class and close to retirement, will be destroyed or even hurt.  Of course, he isn't a DUmmy. 

He didn't vote for Romney, but didn't vote Obama this time either.  I'm giving him credit for coming around that much.  He showed me his absentee ballot and I received one write-in vote for president this year.
