This has been debated back and forth, and we have 11 more days left: a full moon near the end of the month would be perfect for an Israeli attack with or without American support.
It is unclear to me how such an attack would be interpreted by the American people: if led by the administration (highly doubtful), Iraq/Afghanistan fatigue would seem to indicate that such an attack would be a bad idea for MAObama. If led by Israel with covert American support, why people would vote in a different way because of it is unclear to me.
If led by Israel with overt American support, it would seem again to be bad for BIG BRObama, as his pacifist base might be outraged, as in the first scenario above. Non-interventionist types, whether Dem or Independent or Republican, would not be persuaded.
