That was a great 7 game homestand they had.  I hope they can improve on their roadtrips, now.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

No doubt....if they can get their road games under control, there will be no stopping them!   Who would've thunk it....the Cubs the best in MLB in June!!

The last time that happened was 1908.  Could this be some kind of omen?

As us Mets fans found out last year, the season goes until the end of September.  ESPN put up a graphic last night, as the Mets were taking the Dodgers to the woodshed, that showed all of the division leaders in both leagues last year, on June 1st, and how they did.  All of the AL division leaders on June 1st made the playoffs.  None of the NL division leaders made the playoffs.  There's a lot of baseball to be played.

I am not a huge sports fan, but it does always warm the heart to see that "W" flag being flown above the scoreboard.

LA put only the second loss of the year on zambrano.  and he wasn't amused;  just ask the coolers in
the dugout that he beat the shit out of. :-)

I only like to see pictures posted of the "w" flag....

Quit trying to start trouble.  :-)

I am pretty sure this will be the year for the Cubs to go all the way..before I was not sure, but all those new pepole are really paying off.

The Cubs are the only team that is any good this year.

very friendly advice;  try not to claim the NL pennant in the middle of a losing streak in june, and with sorianno on the DL, and zambrano headed for the DL. :-)

I don't really keep up with the cubs, but wasn't last year when the cubs acquired a bunch of new players?  aside from that ****youdummy guy, and 90 year old jim edmonds, and 95 year old jon lieber, I thought this was pretty much the same cubs team that got swept by the dbacks in the postseason last year. :uhsure:

I could very well be wrong, though.  I keep up with my division very closely, and try to keep up with what the rest of the NL is doing.  the AL could be on pluto for all I freaking care. :-)

Still early in the season.... they could go back to being the Cubs we all know in a month or so. :D

Besides, we'll see how they match up against the Good Guys with Edmonds, Soriano, and Zambrano out on injury.
