Exactly what rights are being rolled back? Voting? No. Owning property? No, that's still intact. Anti-discrimination laws? Oh no that's right those aren't threatened either. My right to choose any legal option to birth control? No, not even that. So what exactly is being threatened here precisely?
Now let's look at rights that ARE being threatened....Freedom of religion by forcing religious organizations to fund products they have moral qualms with. Freedom of speech when conservative women are constantly belittled and intimidated in an attempt to silence their pov(and blacks of any gender for that matter). I'd say a few others are being stomped on in there to provide a service that is nowhere near a right under the guise of healthcare.
As for the subservient comment...

I walked out on a controlling father in my teens and have never been back in his house. I married a man *I* chose when I was 26; it did not work out, but I'm raising 3 beautiful children from that marriage--child is CHOSE to have and my ex-husband was happy to make with me. *I* now choose the person I have a relationship with, lay down with, and spend time with. He has no sway over me like some mythical God throwing lightning bolts down at my feeble female brain; I am with him because we are the best of friends and I love and respect him. I work, I schedule, I pay bills, and I maintain a home all on my itty bitty lonesome.Do I need his help sometimes? Sure, but that's because I am not and don't want to be an expert in everything.
Do I sense misogynistic tendencies sometimes from men...sure from the right and the left. I think unfortunately sometimes each gender tries those tactics when they know they are losing an argument. I know conservative men know better and the ones I have no relationship with, I really could give a shit if they think I should be in the kitchen instead of on this board--they can bite my ass and I have no qualms telling them so--no man liberal or conservative gets the best of this gal, nor do I tolerate bad behavior. See what this dummie forgets is many conservative women have their own self-determination. I got here all on my own without the assistance of any man. I learned my way of thinking and to deduce what I have based on sheer life experience and the blessings of a good education, good breeding, and lots of enrichment at home(even in my controlling father's home--gasp).
What is unconscionable to be is that a dummie can not understand why self-determination, self-respect, self-reliance, and good old fashioned hard work should not be things that women would want for themselves, particularly women who consider themselves feminists.
