Once-Disfigured Girl Attends Prom After 18 Surgeries

Cody Hall was born with a hemangioma, a tumorous birthmark that distorted the shape of her face and grew larger as she got older.

When she was 1-year-old, her doctors in England told her parents that nothing could be done about her condition, so her parents took her to see surgeons in the U.S.

I baby sat for a little girl who had a hemangioma right next to her nose that went all the way to her eye and part of her left nostril.  SHe was a beautiful little girl and a joy to watch.  She had begun treatment when I started watching her and they claimed that by the time she was in kindergarten it should be gone.  I would love to see her again, she would be about 13 years old right now.  She was a little less than two when I started watching her.
