Well, we came up on top two weeks in a row, but remember everybody; there's still three and a half weeks to go until the elections.

There might be a couple of speed-bumps for decent and civilized people on the road remaining.

But bear with them, and press on.

I of course didn't see the debate on the boob-tube, and I'm wondering about something.

Given so many comments about the senescent old man smirking, are there any mood-altering pharmaceuticals with that effect, that he might have been on?

Didn't get to see any of thre debate.
Got a chance this morning to see what happened.
Even PMSNBC has called it for Ryan.  Surprised over that.
Back to the track, racing won't wait for me.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Commenters at The Hill are raking smilin Joe over the coals.  Just a few samples:

Tell us again Biden about the HHS mandate and how Benghazi didn't ask for help while laughing 82 times. Yuck

Biden came across as a cocky, arrogant, old cranky rude man. He kept a little smirk on his face, constantly interrupted, generally showed his butt.  It was hard to listen to his comments because of his rude behavior and inappropriate body language.  Ryan came across as a young sharp serious guy,he tried to present his comments and facts in a business like and professional manner

Just curious, is DU upset that Biden lied about Benghazi? his votes on Afghanistan? and Iraq? his comment about JFK lowering tax rates?

(part of the GOP ad) At this part of the debate, what I found disturbing was Bidet's dismissal of Iran's nuclear capabilities.
Seriously Joe? Them having the capability is no big deal because they (supposedly) don't have a delivery system is OK?

I suspect that after a couple brain aneurysms you don't need 'em to be a little 'loopy' all the time.  There is a reason he rode the train all those years don't ya know.

Quote
Biden Resting After Surgery For Second Brain Aneurysm

AP
Published: May 04, 1988

Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. underwent surgery today to correct an aneurysm in an artery that supplies blood to the right side of the brain, a spokesman for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center said.

The spokesman, Peter Esker, said Senator Biden was awake, resting comfortably and talking with his family after the operation, his second this year to correct an aneurysm. An aneurysm is a ballooning of an artery.

The 4 1/2-hour procedure was similar to that performed Feb. 12 on the left side of Mr. Biden's brain. Under the procedure, a surgeon using a microscope pinches the aneurysm with a clip, bringing the walls of the artery together. The clip remains in the patient.

Mr. Esker said there are no signs of any other aneurysms, adding that the second was much smaller than the first.

''The Senator is awake and alert, oriented, moving all extremities well and is conversing with his family,'' Mr. Esker said. ''He is expected to be hospitalized about 10 days and then would go home to recuperate.''

Here's my analogy of the debate last night.

It was like a woman who loves sex, and this woman went a few months without sex, this woman goes out to a bar and sees a handsome man flirting with her, they talk, then they go back to his house, they make mad passionate love, the next morning the woman is ecstatic, she calls her friends and they are all cheering for her. A month later a genital wart shows up and the happiness fades away to horror.

The handsome man is Joe Biden
The sex starved woman is DU and Kos
The genital warts are the Independents that rain on the lefts happiness

But I bet they had to pretend the sex was good. It's one thing to be a horny loser, to face the fact that you brought home someone so self-absorbed and creepy he holds a hand mirror up to watch his own expression and slaps them on the ass afterwards, says, "Hey thanks...you were just okay but, hey, I got my rocks off. Don't need your ass...see ya, never!" is almost to too much to bear...sort of like election night will be.

In her mind the sex was good because she didn't have it for sometime, so she was on cloud 9 until the warts paid a visit.

The Democrats have had nothing to cheer about, we have high unemployment, high debt, horrible foreign policy, then Biden comes along and he represents what they've been feeling forever, nastiness, anger and no idea what's going on, and they think Biden saved them last night, they fail to realize most people found Biden to be plain old nasty, angry and a liar, and they'll vote for the other guy.

The left fails to realize this, Mitt Romney strongly got his points across during his debate, but he wasn't nasty about it hence his approval ratings reflecting that.

Bally, you always listen to Rush, I assume you heard him today.  Biden represented what the democrat party has actually become.  Angry, nasty, rude, and lying.  And women did not like what they saw at all.  I'm seeing a lot of comments around the internet saying just that.

Biden might think he scored some points, but I don't really think he did.  Just thinking about him laughing when Libya was brought up, infuriates me.
