Rush had an interesting take on tonight's debate.

He warned that Biden is one of the meanest, sleaziest people out there. Biden traditionally starts a debate with fawning praise for his opponent, and then Biden will stab his opponent in the back.

It will sound like, "We're really lucky to have an up and comer like Paul Ryan here on the stage tonight. Paul is brilliant, well spoken...But Paul you're not ready yet. You don't know what you are talking about. The Tea Party is speaking for you. Darn it Paul, think for yourself. You're just a puppet."

Rush warned that Biden will pour out the sleaze, tonight. It will be nasty and evil.

We really shouldn't expect anything different from Barry's Thugs. The good news is, Ryan has a thick skin and won't fall into the trap of getting pissed about the ad hominem attacks. Any rational human being can cast aside those kinds of "arguments" for the folly they are.

Bring it on, Joe. Show the world how much of a sleaze artist you really are.  :whatever:

Did anyone know the media get "swag bags" at these debates?

Tonight's bags include bourbon:

On direct orders from Biden.

How else are they going to play a drinking game during the debate?

I dunno about anybody else but--

Sure, sure, it's autumn out here on the eastern slope of the Sandhills, where everything looks much like Connecticut in autumn, the frost is on the pumpkin, the birds are flying south, blah blah blah.....

But for me, this debate this evening makes me feel as if Christmas is coming.

You would have fit right in on FOX news.

FOX has the smartest and best looking women. The ugly ones go to PMSNBC.

I think we should have a poll to see how many gaffes Biden makes tonight. That would be pants  :lmao:

I am giving him less time than that. I think the first thing that should be brought up is the cover up from obama over Libya.

Well now, everybody keep something in mind.

This could fall below our expectations.

There's still 26 days until the election, and I myself speculate decent and civilized people are going to go through a couple of slumps yet, when it does't look as good as we want it to look.

So.....if this falls below expectations, don't lose heart.  Excresence happens.  One accepts, adapts, and moves on.

I am not concerned.  There is no way, no how, that I will think to myself at the end of this debate "Wow, Biden is really awesome." I have no expectations.  I look forward to watching the debate with like-minded people.
