I watched Rambo last night.

Awesome movie.  Don't be scared off by the eighties franchise.  This was the best of the series.  The brutality of the military junta in Burma is shown in a very effective and bloody manner.  This movie is not for the faint of heart.  The violence is very realistic, there is a high body count.  Stallone does an excellent job as an aging Rambo.

Bottom line, this is a must see movie.

Perfect portrait of what liberal passivism accomplishes vs. the result of a heavy handed reponse to wrongs against humanity.

Do bullets spark when they hit wood or rocks in this one?

Do LAW rockets have a zero back blast area as was inferred in Rambo II?

I have liked all of the Rambo movies so far, but it vexes me when they do crap like the above in movies and TV shows.

You might be surprised to discover just how many folks think that crap is realistic.

Let's just say this one is shockingly real.  Only a few explosions (only one of them big).  Mostly people being shot with really big bullets.  Again, very realistic in what a .50 cal round does to the human body.

Yeah, the movie was amazingly "real".  It was just way to short in my opinion.  The climax was more just a shooting fish in a barrel fest, and didn't really do much for me.
