Coal Workers Say They Were ‘Coerced’ Into Making GOP Donationsby Climate ProgressOctober 7, 20127:00 am
I asked my wife, Morgan Fairchild, if this was true and she said it is true.
The only workers that I have ever known to be truly coerced to donating for a candidate against their have all been union members.
Coal workers are union. But even when I was a union member we had a seperate fund for political donations. I think I agrred to .25 a week out of my check. We had meetings and vogted on who the money went to. Sometimes it even went to an "R."
Exactly. They ALL are. So, their supposition is that Republicans are coercing Unions? Unions now support the Republican Party? [(D)U] No wonder Walker won his recall election. Union support!! I knew the evil Re thug licans would pull something like this, I knew it! [/(D)U]What do (D)Ullards have against unions, I wonder?
The Teamsters supported President Reagan
While that is true, they switched allegiances in the late 80s when an enterprising U.S Attorney for one of the Federal Districts in NYC managed to get a conviction against a higher-up in the Teamsters for something corruption-related. Said U.S. Attorney's name? Rudolph Guiliani.
...[T]he Left has been foisting some claims that Mitt Romney’s campaign has been “forcing†coal miners to attend his rallies. Out in the battleground state of Ohio, some of the aforementioned miners got together with the press to ask the President to cut out the “absolute lies.†QuoteCoal miners at the American Energy Corp. Century Mine said they want President Barack Obama to stop what they term the war on coal – and to stop spreading mistruths about them. Miners gathered Friday afternoon to express their opposition to Obamas energy and environmental policies, which they believe threaten their jobs. Miner Mitch Miracle read aloud a letter the miners mailed to Obama that outlines some of their concerns. Here’s some of the text of the letter provided to local reporters. QuoteThere are numerous false statements and absolute lies concerning our participation in this event, mostly started by a local shock jock radio host, the miners letter to Obama states. Why would you (Obama) lie about the 500 working miners who have signed this letter? We, the employees of the Century Mine would request you immediately stop these false ads. This summer, Murray Energy Corp., parent company of the Beallsville mine, cut or relocated 56 workers with the closure of the Red Bird West mine near Brilliant. Murray also cut 29 mining jobs from The Ohio Valley Coal Co.s Powhatan No. 6 Mine. All of this was done, Robert Murray said, because of Obamas war on coal. Murray then hosted the August Romney campaign stop in Beallsville, during which many miners appeared behind Romney as the former Massachusetts governor spoke about the need to protect coal mining jobs. In response to the assertion some have made about the miners being forced to appear with Romney, the miners made the following points on Friday: As for anyone who claims the miners were forced to attend, those on-site Friday said these assertions probably came from discharged or disgruntled former employees.

Sure they were coerced .. NOT! Every industry in America should do what these great people did. Judging from this Video, obama is done in Ohio ... Was coming here to post this. This video (and these coal miners) is 100% full of win!
Again, disconnect between union rank-and-file and the higher-ups.Very few of us where I work intend to vote for the Magic Negro, but the national union STILL acts like Obama's shit don't stink.
The best way to know who to vote for is go by several union halls, and write down all the names on the campaign signs, then on election day find those names on the ballot, and vote for their opponent.
