All this hoopla about rising gasoline prices and gasoline exporting is missing the whole plot.

The cheaper the gas, the more warming we'll have, the more droughts we'll have, the poorer the harvests will be, and the higher food prices will be due to increased scarcity.

This obviously needs to be said because I'm seeing way too many posts complaining about skyrocketing gas prices, especially in California. It's as if we totally forgot the drought this year, and what brought it about.

Cheaper gasoline is going to kill us.

You know what else, the cheaper that food is, the more people that can eat, the more that can eat the more that survive, the more that survive the more that are exhaling CO2, the more that are exhaling CO2 the more warming and on and on.

1. It is also an economic problem for the working poor who have to drive to work, and who will be

facing higher food prices as well.

Sucks that we painted ourselves into this square, but.. here we are.

 :banghead:

I'm sure that 5 minutes after Romney is sworn in then gas prices will be a huge problem again.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Because there were never, ever, EVER any droughts anywhere EVER before the 20th century.

This goes without saying, but when gas prices were $3.00 (temporarily) under Bush, almost every news station nationwide had a crew at a gas station or truck stop interviewing people about it's impact at 6AM, Noon, 5PM, and 10PM.  Now that the media has their Obama kneepads on, we get zero coverage.

Media bias is a huge problem in this country.

This is the issue with the Global Warming crowd.  If you believe in Global Warming, then you should know that the forecasts show that the only way it would be halted would be immediate action that stops all industrialism world wide.  The Dummies like to whine about it, and make themselves feel good about themselves when they drive a Prius or carry cloth bags shopping, but their actions would have no effects on Global Warming.

I would think all those Prius and Volts would have calmed the climate a little.

My big problem with plans for curtailing so-called man made global warming is that is does nothing to solve the problem, it just economically cripples the western countries while giving money to 3rd world shit holes so they can start more factories that cause pollution.  It has nothing to do with solving the problem, but everything with wealth redistribution.

Exactly.  Stopping oil and coal usage in Western countries does nothing about the massive pollution in China and India.

Exactly the reason and the outcome.  :cheersmate:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
