Rasmussen reports Electoral college polls.
« on: October 06, 2012, 05:54:17 PM »
First off.  I'm not a mole or anything, but I'm just not as optimistic as some people here.  I don't trust ABC, CBS or WAPO polling garbage, but I do trust Rasmussen to try and give the most honest polls they can.  In honor of our old buddy "Truth is All"  I used a spreadsheet to add the electoral college numbers and I can't get Romney to 270.  I come up with R=267, O-271.   I'll concede that maybe even Rasmussen is using unrealistic ratios if they're looking at 2008 turnout, but I think if you take that out, but add in massive voter fraud it will more than cover that difference.  I'm expecting the left to pull out all stops when it comes to stealing this election.  They know it's close and will do everything in their power to cast fraudulent votes. Somebody cheer me up, because I'll be as depressed as the Dummies get if we lose this one.  I know in reality, my life probably won't change that much either way, but I can't even stand the thought of seeing that arrogant prick on TV for 4 more years.

Don't forget the over/under , usually about 4%.

I still don't believe it's going to be a close race . Romney will win by a comfortable margin. Somewhere about 10 points.

naturally that's not taking into account double votes and the surprising voter turnout of dead people and the such.

Here's the deal don't worry about the polls. Go out and vote and hope for the best.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I agree it's a tie if the election were held today, maybe very slight advantage to Obama right now.  But I'm optimistic for two reasons:

First, Romney knocked Obama on his back, but I think lots of people are still hoping Obama just had a bad day.  Obama's certain vote numbers have weakened considerably.  Another KO from Romney will result in a mass exodus, demoralization of Ds, and therefore landslide IMO.  I think Romney knows this too.

Second, Rasmussen is using a 3-week party ID rolling average so there's still a lot of D bounce baked in the party identifications.  I confirmed this when I reverse engineered the ID numbers from today's internals -- he is assuming slightly higher D turnout than in 2008.  Some comments he made recently makes me think that he is receiving significant R identification bounce post-debate.  It will continue to tighten.

Freeper. Part of the reason for my depression is that I live in VT.  I still vote, but at times it seems pointless.  Sadly, I think too many conservatives in VT did just give up.

Then go get conservatives that you know to vote. Someone has to have passion about it, even if you know you won't win.

Same thing in Illinois. Chicago and many northern Illinois counties negate any Republican vote.

Exactly.  My only hope is for a blizzard to hit Crook County on November 5th, with snow piled to the top of street signs.

In Texas for the 2008 Presidential election only 28 of 254( 11% ) counties and 11 of the States 32 congressional districts went for Obama but because some of those counties Include the Cities of Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio Obama received 28% of the Vote of a approximately 50 % statewide voter turnout.

This in a state where Democrats are scared to post party affiliation on advertisements on local & statewide elections. Ironically lack of party affiliation is a dead give away as a Democrat

That would keep the dead voters from rising and the illegal voters from going out in the cold.

Now they're saying that Jesse Jackson, Jr., will win even though no one will see him before the election. No corruption there, though...

Missouri elected a dead man Govenor about 12 yrs back. The loser had to settle for Attorney General of the United States  :-)

I think Romney will win, but it will be less than 10 points, and obama will contest and call the lawyers out. It will be 2000 in double fold.

As for the polls, they are all over sampling Dems, so I don't believe any of them. It is just like 1980, but in hyper drive ...

Don't let that depress you, if all the depressed conservatives stay home then we hand the election over to 0bama. Even if he still wins your state you took a stand and voted to fire his ass.

Even if we lose this, I would rather have that all of us voted and did our part to get rid of him. It is better to try then fail than to not try and allow failure.

As bad as it will get if 0bama wins we are a strong people and when he is gone for good we can and will rebuild. Those who can't take care of themselves will end up killing each other off, meanwhile the sane folks in this country will move forward and rebuild what they have destroyed.

Ronald Reagan once said we are but one generation away from the extinction of freedom. Sadly today we are on the road to that scenario. The silver lining is, we are but one generation from the restoration of freedom. It is up to us to teach our kids, and grand kids for a lot of you here, what freedom is and inspire them to be the ones to bring it back. We may lose this country, but I have faith that we can get it back someday. The American spirit will never die no matter how hard they try to destroy it.

I do not take polls that seriously, whether they are ABC, New York Times, Gallop, or Rasmussen.
