un-employment rate drop!

I need help talking down some baggers at work.

How can we not add 150k+ jobs but drop the rate?

They will not shut up that this is a gimmick and a smoke screen.

1. If they're baggers, there's no hope. They'll believe whatever Fox tells them.

They're authoritarian types. They don't think. They feel.

You'd have better luck convincing your dog than a bagger.

I didn't need Fox to tell me that this magical reduction in the UE rate was bogus, nor did I need them to tell me that 873k new mysterious jobs is bogus as well.

More people dropped out of the search for jobs. That is how the number shrinks.

The 8% range is highly, highly inaccurate.

There are statistics published about the total unemployment of the population to monitor racial equality. Black men have a 50+% unemployment rate.

It's even higher for black women.

And white men? It's in the 30% range!

There was no information in that study on what the unemployment rate was for women, but you can imagine that it is higher if 1/2 of the population included was that unemployed.

Much higher than the lying 8% rate.

But it doesn't come up at all in discussion of politics at the national level. If the two parties agree not to talk about it, then it never happened.

Just like the BS of the USA having a surplus in the 1990s.

6. Nonsense

"It is a gimmick. More people dropped out of the search for jobs. That is how the number shrinks. "

Stop enabling ignorant RW conspiracy theories.

As we've discussed before, decreases in the jobless rate are not always good news -- the figure sometimes falls when discouraged Americans drop out of the workforce altogether -- but that's the case with the new data. The employment-to-population ratio went up, job creation went up, and the labor force went up.

It's pointless. Just get out the vote

You are right it is pointless to tell us a bunch of lies to try to make us change our minds.

The funniest part of all this is that other then the dim witted DUmbasses of the world nobody is buying the numbers.
Even if magically close to a million people did become self employed and it was true everyone thinks it is a farce.
What does that tell you about dear leaders reputation for truth?

I love how some can explain the reason straight to their face and it becomes a ignorant RW conspiracy theory.

These people trip me out ever single day.  If they don't want to hear it, it isn't true and never happened.

You have to admit that taking 144k new jobs and hiring 873k people is quite an accomplishment. Maybe 0bama is all that and a bag of chips after all. Or not.

Okay I am confused. How does the unemployment rate go down from 8.1 to 7.8 on

Last edited Fri Oct 5, 2012, 04:51 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)

873,000 in the one survey but reflect 114,000 jobs in September in another survey?

I was thinking maybe the revisions to July and August actually meant the 8.1% was lower but no these are two different reports so there is no revision to last months 8.1%.

Does that mean the 114,000 September number is way understated?

Okay I think I figured it out:

The numbers aren't fudged...apparently it's normal for the labor force numbers to "bounce violently"

dkf has to be a mole.

Sorry (D)Ullard, math doesn't "bounce wildly".  Wild bounces are the result of artificial external factors purposely inflicted on an equation.  If math bounced wildly, the molecules of your physical matter would scatter at random.

Think about that as you hit the bong.....

Hey DUmmie, I'll help you out. Repeat this exact phrase to all the people you encounter who are in touch with reality:

0bama is reality.  And reality is less than 0bama.

That's all you gotta do. I'm surprised I even have to give this to you DUmmies. I thought you were the smartestest peoples on the all of the InterWebs!

Must be Govt/union jobs. 7 people for every job . :whatever:
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Think about this for a second.
The date for the debate was long set and the date for release of this also established.

We have had a month now of polls that heavily oversampled dems to establish zero as all but inevitable to win.
They assumed the debate would be handed to the magic muzzie by the fawning and obedient press corp.

My feeling is this wasn`t a panic fix it was set up to be the exclamation point.

Unfortunately soon to be President elect Romney gave them a dose of the real world, not the fake one they had built around themselves.
Instead of the public saying "whew, things are getting better" they are rolling their eyes and saying "yeah right".

Even some lefties are questioning the numbers.  People can't help but think they fixed the numbers.

Oh I have no doubt that this report was planned months ago. I agree that this was supposed to have worked in tandem with 0bama crushing Romney in the debate, or perhaps if it was planned far enough in advance that 0bama crushed candidate X, because the primary wasn't done yet.

Then Romney swoops in and brings a chainsaw to the conversation that 0bama wanted, (props to James Carville for that analogy he is a moonbat but I liked that one), and now they just look desperate and stupid.

I think Carville gave up serious political analysis and now revels in the part of crazy uncle Jim on the talk Dias's.
His comedic analogies are tinged with truth though.

While Carter may have surrounded himself with idiots Obama is an Idiot.
