poll: are we inhibiting the primitives.....again?
« on: September 24, 2012, 08:22:11 AM »
Another quarterly poll, here in the DUmpster today, and moved to the DUmping Ground tomorrow.

While surveying Skins's island the past few days (Skins's island, not the DUmpster), it struck me that many PoP (primitives of prominence), while they're still around, they're not posting as much as they used to.  I won't mention names; these low-outputters know who they are.

I'm concerned, because we got the Top DUmmies of 2012 contest coming up, starting in a mere eight weeks.

I get the sense these slacking-off PoP are hesitant about saying anything because they're afraid they'll be quoted here in the DUmpster, and they don't like that at all.

They don't like it because ever since the dawning of the Age of Aquarius in late 1974, the primitives had never been challenged in the news media, the popular culture, the movies, academia.  Whatever decent and civilized people said was belittled, mocked, and ridiculed, while Democrats, liberals, and primitives were treated as if they spoke the Holy Writ, the infallible truth.

That changed with the advent of the internet some years ago, and the primitives have since been besieged on all sides by decent and civilized people challenging them.  We're used to having our own opinions, perceptions, and values challenged, but the primitives aren't.  Like little kids not getting their way, the primitives don't like it.

Well.

I think the primitives have some weird ideas about their place in the scheme of things; they for example probably think that the professional Democrats and liberals, and the 0bama campaign, value their opinions and feelings.

Yeah, right.

The Supreme Court of Paraguay or the Chamber of Commerce in Accra, Ghana or Girl Scout Troop #346 in Newfoundland probably pay more attention to the primitives than do professional Democrats and liberals, and the 0bama campaign.

The primitives need to understand their place in this world; that they exist only to entertain and amuse decent and civilized people, no other reason.  That is the only social good, the only contribution to the general welfare, that the primitives can, and are destined to, fill.  The primitives serve no other purpose in this world; only to entertain us.

The DUmpster is the only way the primitives will ever achieve Immortality.

I say no. I think they're just putting themselves in an early drug induced coma since, despite their bravado, they know November is going to be a replay of 2010 and they're just not sure of any other way to handle it.

I'm always amazed at how much they resent being quoted verbatim, at-length.

They're furious that the things they profess make them look stupid and hateful.

Never realizing that the cure is to stop saying stupid and hateful things.

Meanwhile, how many of us would relish an uncensored opportunity to challenge them to their faces and if the record of such a battle endured for posterity, so much th better.

So, perhaps we do, to a degree.

But we also know liberals are by their very nature: quitters.

To struggle through the 8 year Armageddon of Bush only to be cheated in the 4 years of Obama is simply too much for them to endure.

They demand Heaven on Earth and God has yet to bend His arrogant knee to them.

So why bother?

The professionals exploit them.

How else does one explain the rabid devotion to the yacht tax-dodging Married-Up Billionaire Kerry to the charitable captain of industry millionaire Romney?

The professionals care about what it takes to keep the DUmbasses agitated.

Once the DUmbasses are agitated the Professionals have no further care.

I think they are so discombobulated (thanks, Coach) by the upcoming debates and election, they are hiding in a corner crying like little girls, and therefore not posting.

It's just that simple.    :-)

Plus, Politico has a poll out this morning that has Romney up 14 points among middle-class families that maybe a few of them have seen.

I once compared the DUmpster with a small-town grocery store, and the moderators as the grocers stocking the shelves with inventory of stuff the general public--in this case, decent and civilized people--wants.  Each primitive is a "brand," and the primitive's comments are the "products."

Certain primitives have been a high-quality brand in the past, and they kept up production that satisfied the general public's demand for them; the shelves here were always jam-packed with them, and they were snapped up as quickly as they were put there.

But now it appears the premimum brands are in short supply, and we're having to resort to lowly store brands and generic brands.  The general public buys them because there's nothing else on the shelves, but the general public really prefers premium brands and their superior products.

I voted no, IMO they are posting feverishly and even bringing in new primatives.

The problem I see is that as the election approches they are becoming single minded, the hive mind grabbing 4th gear. I mean how many times can you read "RMONEY IS TOAST!!11" and still be entertained?

 :lmao:

Well, in the absence of the premium brands, it's pretty much like rows and rows of shelves stocked with those once-common cans with white labels and black printing.

And by their holding back, the premium brands are going lose market-share.

The professionals exploit them.

Well, but remember, there's only about 5,000 of them, and a big-city boss somewhere can create more than that many (D) votes out of thin air in two minutes.  And so numerically, the primitives hardly count, if at all.

The only way I can see the primitives being "exploited" by professional Democrats and liberals, and the 0bama campaign, is that the primitives provide them with as many laughs and guffaws as they do for us, decent and civilized and more-advanced people.

I can see, for example, 0bama, taking a thirty-second break in between his golf-games and world tours, glancing at the ProSense prmitive's topics, and (sadly) laughing, "And so this dumb broad thinks she's helping me by posting articles on Skins's island, preaching to the choir, instead of being out pounding the pavements, cajoling and arguing for me in real life."
