The Julia deal really illustrates the philosophical divide in the country. The libs just love Julia, and can't see what the fuss was about. When I look at it, I see a soulless government dependent, whose entire life is mediocre at best. The story line doesn't even give her a husband to have her baby with. Government is her husband. Retirement doesn't offer any adventure either. She volunteers in a garden. Then presumably she dies.
She never shot for the stars, she never made any waves, she never made a big pile of dough. All her life she barely squeaks by. The left think this is idyllic. I think it's horrifying.
