$1.9 million paid in taxes, over 4 million in charitable donations. I'd say he's paid his fair share.
He paid more than his fair share. I want to see proof that a Dem did that.
Paid a 14.2% effective rate and donated 30% of his income to charities. Biden paid how much?Obinga paid how much?Reid paid how much?Suck it, a$$holes.......I knew this was coming and I couldn't be happier.
The MSM will focus ONLY on the 14.2%.
Of course, mentioning about giving money to charity will harm obama, since he doesn't give money to charities.
Um....yeah....about that.....He did give his Nobel Prize miney to 10 different charities. http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2011/04/19/obama_donated_nobel_prize_funds_to_three_cups_of_tea_charityGranted, at least one was fradulent.
Personally, I would like to have seen him wait a couple more weeks to release them, and when the MSM realizes there is "no there there" they'd be left looking like the partisan hacks they are.
Now the line is that Romney didn't take the whole deduction for his charitable giving in order to artificially keep his tax rate above 13%. And President Obama and VP Biden both paid a higher rate! Besides, Romney still wants to keep all the Bush tax cuts...which so favor the 1%.
I think that it was a rare brilliant move by Romney's campaign because it moves the conversation away from the 47% comments that Romney made.
The 47% comment that Romney made brought the other 53% closer to him.
Yeah, but he was ONLY saying that to a small, private group. Doesnt it make you wonder why he won't say stuff like that in the open? Why does it have to be secretly recorded? And further the way in which he handled the fallout was, at best, weak.
That I can't answer. It makes you wonder what obama has said in a private group though, doesn't it?
