The real blunder in Romney's speech is not so much the "47%" line, it's:::>

"My job is not to worry about these people."

We can discuss until the cows come home what percentage of the people pay how much taxes, and how or why.

But the bottom line is, Romney is saying that his job is to not worry about half of the country, the half that make the least amount of money. He's saying not only does he not give a shit about these people, but he thinks it's actually his JOB to not give a shit about these people.

Someone with audio experience should do a remix of this sound byte.... play it in slow motion, backwards, it will be the quote that ends his run for president. Dean's scream on steroids.

half of America. The entire bottom half, income-wise. If anyone votes for this man, he or she must be: a member of the 1%, a racist, or a complete moron.

Feel free to prove us wrong.

7. I frame it, 'Romney isn't worried about injured war vets, seniors, children, and the disabled.' n/t

HINT: If your tactic is to scream, "OMG! Did you hear what he said?" it's usually advisable to make sure what he said is what you say it is.

9. The contrast is astounding on so many levels

"There is not a liberal America and a conservative America. There's the United States of America."

He is challenging the speech that launched Obama. The dem leaning "independent voters" fell in love with him.

Hear that?

Now they want us knuckle-dragging, bible-thumping, gun-toting, money-grubbing, war-monger, misogynist racists to be part of Ameria again!

I with Romney, I am not going to worry about lazy assholes either that don't contribute to the bills.

I took it as he was meaning he didn't care about them as far as trying to get their vote because it's a lost cause.

The reality is he just may have locked up the conservative vote by this.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Lurkers, what Romney is saying is that as far as voting is concerned he is not going to worry about trying convince people to vote for him who aren't goint to vote for him no matter what he does.

Good it wasn't just me who took it that way.

They used to say that about us, until Rmoney used it himself.

Remember how we used to be racists who would never accept free healthcare because a black guy wanted to give it to us?

We totally would have gone for it if only it had been Dean, Sanders or Kiucinich.

Ah the all important context that would be afforded 0bama. if you listen to what Romney is really saying you discover that he is not talking about his job as president. He is talking about what his job is as candidate Romney and he is right. His message will never get through to the people that do not pay taxes. His job is to get that 6% of the middle squishies to vote him in. When the jobs that his policies bring prosperity again after the Obama Depression, then those 47%ers will be living better and happy with President Romney. That was the way Reagan won that second landslide.

The media is going all out to make this sound far worse than it is and on the other side they went out of their way to explain that 0's "You didn't build that" was out of context. However, when you listen to both the context absolves Romney and DAMNS 0bama.

Finally, this was supposed to come out the week of the election. The fact that it came out this early is clearly damage control from the 0bama campaign.  In case nobody noticed, last week demonstrated just how bad the affirmative action president is on foreign policy...his supposed strong point.

Romney 356/182 electoral, 55/44 pop, Senate 56/44 republican, HOR picks up 18 more seats. Nothing that has happened in the last week has made me change that. In fact, I put New Jersey into a possible for R^2.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
