This may even lose him Rubio's vote.

. . . Today the controversy widened further with the impending release of a new portion of the video in which Romney unloaded on America's Hispanic population, claiming they are "losers" and "trash" who are only in the United States to claim welfare benefits.

Leading Latino rights groups have characterized the video as "shockingly racist" and have called on Romney to drop out of the presidential race and allow a new candidate to run in his place. . . .

"Hispanics will never vote for me because they can't possibly udnerstand my ideas. They are descended from a primative cutlure. They were sacrificing 9 year olds to the gods before Cortés came."

I just can't wrap around a candidate for anything saying this. This has to be one of the most ignorant statements any candidate has ever let come out of their mouth anywhere at any time.

Like "The Onion"

Not if it feeds a fabricated narrative.

If I had to guess, probably a DUmmie. The author gets the same thrill using racial pejoratives as the DUmmies do and the tone of the other "stories" at the Currant seem to be leftward slanted...not so much Obama bashing.

The OP has now been self-deleted, but it is always interesting to read how many of the DUmmies will jump on this sort of thing with glee.  Doesn't matter if it is unbelievable to most people, some of them will still embrace it as if they were ". . .clinging to their guns and bibles. . . ."
This too shall pass.

Again, the smarter someone thinks they are, the easier they are too fool.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

There was (and maybe still is) a DUmmy with screen name of "thispostissatire", or something similar.  He/she would make OPs that were outrageous, and DUmmies would jump all over them.

There would be several responses scattered randomly telling the other DUmmies it was satire, and they should read the screen name of the OP, but it rarely helped.
This too shall pass.

To be fair: BNN has taken in a couple of cavers.

One article I wrote in particular got a few. It was just after DADT was repealed and I wrote how that led to cultural difficulties because now soldiers trying to pose as gay would no longer be kicked out instead of being deployed.

Yeah, I've seen people here and at TOS get sucked in by things like Onion articles myself, there's just a certain portion of the population that reacts first and thinks later on both sides.  A much bigger portion on theirs, of course...

I believe some of it falls into what I call cult herding. You tell someone something that they know to be true, then something that they wish to be true, and then when they're properly hooked you can tell them anything.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe
