Farmer in Nepal reportedly exacts revenge on cobra, bites snake to death

Published August 23, 2012  FoxNews.com

Annapurna Post

A farmer in Nepal reportedly turned the tables on a venomous snake who bit him, chasing down the deadly cobra and biting it to death.

Mohamed Salmo Miya reportedly was farming his rice paddy field near a village about 125 miles southeast of Kathmandu when he was bitten by a common cobra, AFP reports.

Miya then chased the snake down and bit it repeatedly.

"A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you," Miya told the BBC.

Chase her.
Chase her even when she's yours.
That's the only way you'll be assured to never lose her.

Oh, heck no!  My preferred method of dispatchment is a garden tool.  And my singing drives them off when I have to irrigate before they think of biting me.  Nope.  Not going to put any stock in what a snake charmer says.

I used a riding mower to dispatch a garter snake last week.  It was accidental and I didn't know it until I heard it hit the blades.
