Libyan President el-Megarif reportedly eyes Al Qaeda in 'preplanned' attack on US consulateLibyan President Mohammed el-Megarif said he believes Al Qaeda is responsible for the deadly attack at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans and said roughly 50 people have arrested in connection with the violence, according to two broadcast interviews Sunday. In an interview with NPR, Megarif said foreigners have been infiltrating his country over the past few months, which has been undergoing major changes since the uprising against the late dictator Muammar al-Qaddafi. Megarif says the attackers, who he believes are connected to Al Qaeda, used the protests at the consulate as a cover to attack the U.S. Consulate on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
US Ambassador Susan Rice Maintains That Anti-American Protests Are a Direct Result of Anti-Islamic FilmSusan Rice, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, joined Fox News Sunday as anti-American protests escalate across the world. The White House is claiming that this has nothing to do with President Obama’s foreign policies and maintained that it’s in response to an anti-Islamic film.Rice echoed the sentiment, telling Chris Wallace that, “We’ve had the evolution of the Arab Spring over the last many months, but what sparked the recent violence was the airing on the Internet of a very hateful, very offensive video that has offended many people around world.”
Why is this administration lying to us?
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
