Former Top DUmmy Continues Her Hospital Storyline
« on: September 16, 2012, 12:56:31 AM »
Our 2009 Top DUmmy, the notorious compulsive liar Pam Dawson, continues her hospital storyline. Very few DUmpmonkeys are stupid enough to believe a single word she posts, but there are a few:

Out of the hospital on Tuesday, back in on Thursday

Am very frustrated with this disease and somewhat scared. The meds are not doing their jobs to keep it in remission and we are not sure what comes next. Added to the complications of the Pancreatitis and other issues that come along, it just seems like I am losing the battle. Frankly, I am tired of fighting. Not sure there is much fight left in me.

I hope poor addled grasswipe Judy Smith is paying close attention.

If Pam claims to have died, poor addled grasswipe Judy needs to immediately investigate the whereabouts of franksolich.

It's well known at the DUmp that he disappeared from the eastern slope of the Sandhills just prior to the unlamented demise of the round red sodomite.

A clandestine trip to Wichita in the next few days could be the clincher, and poor addled grasswipe Judy is just the investigator to sniff it out.

I'd like DUmmy Panasonic to explain just what it is that a small group of left wing political lunatics and deadbeats could to to "take some load off".

Pam ups the ante:

4. I think this term Palliative Care has been mentioned this evening, but I was out of it

Palliative care (from Latin palliare, to cloak) is an area of healthcare that focuses on relieving and preventing the suffering of patients. Unlike hospice care, palliative medicine is appropriate for patients in all disease stages, including those undergoing treatment for curable illnesses and those living with chronic diseases, as well as patients who are nearing the end of life. Palliative medicine utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, relying on input from physicians, pharmacists, nurses, chaplains, social workers, psychologists, and other allied health professionals in formulating a plan of care to relieve suffering in all areas of a patient's life. This multidisciplinary approach allows the palliative care team to address physical, emotional, spiritual, and social concerns that arise with advanced illness.

Not only that, Jake, but the usually verbose Nadin only sees fit to type one word into her response (was she working on a "good" iPad?).

If Pamela was "out of it," the word and its meaning would've escaped her, or at best been ambiguous to her.

I say this as someone who has to rely upon others to "hear" for me, whether I'm out of it or even in it.

Pamela's either heard or seen this term before.....or nadined it.

It's remarkable she didn't misspell it.  Perhaps a coincidence?

Pamela just threw this in to get sympathy she doesn't deserve.

Not a coincidence that she spelled it correctly - she copied it from Wikipedia without giving them the credit.  Here's the Wiki link and their first paragraph

Hmmm, the Dummy is hinting that the diagnosis of whatever ails her is in the "advanced" stage.

Given her history of lying, I give her story zero credibility.  She probably plagiarized the whole thing.

I did notice that she "thanked God" for her insurance, shouldn't she be thanking the taxpayers of Wichita instead since Dummies don't believe in the Almighty?

Granted, Pamela needs help, lots and lots and lots of help.

And probably even this type of help.

But I'm having considerable difficulty accepting:

Quote
I think this term Palliative Care has been mentioned this evening, but I was out of it.....

Both instinct and intuition rebel against accepting that this is what really happened.

It seems more likely to me Pamela was just flailing around, trying to add on to her tale of woe so as to get even more sympathy, and made this up (not the definition, but the phrase, the way she heard about it); adding more icing to her cake.

- - - - - - - - - -

On a sort of related topic, one wonders if Pamela hasn't been having this rash of physical problems because she's having some difficulties at work, but is repressing that.  (Of what nature, I would have no idea.)  This is common for her sort of people; she craves sympathy, but doesn't want that to be the reason.  Being ill (or "ill") is a good substitute for what's really ailing her.

Hey Pam - with Crohn's disease you should probably, oh I don't know STOP SMOKING:

Quote
Smoking
Smoking increases your risk of developing Crohn's disease, and once you have it, smoking can make the condition worse. People with Crohn's disease who smoke are more likely to have relapses, need medications and repeat surgeries. Quitting smoking can improve the overall health of your digestive tract, as well as provide many other health benefits.

Nads has to be jealous as no one has ever cared about her like this before -- and she did trial run a long term sickness that kept her home with her rig away from breaking news.   :(

Sorry if I seem selfish, but I got to ask because I have Crohns...Are pancreatitis and kidney failure

typical of Crohns?

15. I think each case is different, I Have had 8 bouts of pancreatitis in the last 3 years

View profile
the kidney failure was something new. Probably because the pancreatitis was so bad. My lipase level was greatly elevated. The nurse said they wanted it under 400 and mine was almost 10,000 before it stopped climbing

16. You may be right...I've had Crohns for 12 years and

View profile
was tested for pancreatitis once because my lipase level was slightly elevated

but the tests came back negative.

Thanks for the information and I do hope you're feeling better.

and when they flare, they block the "duct" that runs along the pancreas. Not sure I remember the technical term, but I know that that is what happens with me.

The kidney thing is new, probably beause the lipase level was so higly elevated.

A member with a great deal of knowledge on the topic chimes in and Pammy disappears from that sub-conversation....

I'm not sure this is really nads. It has to be a cut and paste from somewhere. There is no condensation and all the words are spelled correctly.

1. I do thank God that our insurance has been good to us.

other than the fear of missing work, (my classroom is probably a wreck) I don't have to worry about when to go to the hospital. My GI and Gen Docs know I know the symptoms and what is going on so I just have to call them...if it is weekend, their service and by the time I am packed and showered my admit papers are waiting for our arrival.

I originally ignored this post, but the more I think about it, I believe this is reason Pam started the thread.

Scanning the thread, you'd think it's just another of Pam's countless lies for attention and sympathy.

But this post reveals another purpose near and dear to Pam's lying heart.

She's rubbing her DUmpmates' noses in a description of health insurance superior to anything they'll ever have, and then casually reminds them that she has a job and they don't.

Pam Dawson never changes.

Oh yeah, that one.

But my favorite--and I'm sure it got her Top DUmmie of 2009, put her over the top in the voting--was the one where the black student said she'd like to be Pamela's slave.
