Judge throws out Walker's union bargaining law
« on: September 15, 2012, 12:28:28 AM »
Gov. Scott Walker's law repealing most collective bargaining for local and school employees was struck down by a Dane County judge Friday, yet another dramatic twist in a year and a half saga that likely sets up another showdown in the Supreme Court.

The law remains largely in force for state workers, but for city, county and school workers the decision by Dane County Judge Juan Colas returns the law to its status before Walker signed the legislation in March 2011.

Colas ruled that the law violated workers' constitutional rights to free speech, free association and equal representation under the law by capping union workers' raises but not those of their nonunion counterparts.

No big deal just a partisan local judge, no doubt the Wisc supreme court will uphold the law.

This will go all the way to the USSC where it will be upheld.

It seems like the argument is flawed in that the governor has a position in bargaining with public sector whereas the judege is saying that the private sector should have limited rights, and those limitations come through the legislative process?

Unions, especially the SEIU act likethey are down trodden poor beggermen when they are spending more the 60 nights at Obama's white house.

What is interesting is hat the Union side in Wisconsin will DEFINTITELY want to limit, extremely, the rights of corporations to act in their own best interest.

Unions suck.
Public sector unions are worse.
