I need to start with a 60 year old quote that is so relevant today that it is almost eerie.

I fear that all I have done is awakened a sleeping giant
and filled him with a terrible resolve.
--Admiral Yamamoto after the Pearl Harbor attack, December 7, 1941

We're going to find out who did this and we're going after the bastards.
--Sen. Orrin Hatch

These acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and retreat.
But they have failed; our country is strong.
President George W. Bush

Freedom itself was attacked this morning by a faceless coward and freedom will be
defended.

And about the same time:
Quote from: Adm. William "Bull" Halsey
..."By the time this war is over, Japanese will be a language spoken only in hell."

Substitute "Arabic" for "Japanese", and my thoughts of the day are apparent. :killemall:
"Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here."
-- Capt. John Parker

Vice President Joe Biden drew on the sorrow of his own personal losses as he addressed the memorial marking 11 years since United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a Pennsylvania field.

“It is a bittersweet moment for the entire nation,” Biden told families, friends and dignitaries gathered at the memorial to the 40 passengers and crew who died  on Sept. 11, 2001.

“We wish we didn’t have to be here, wish we didn’t have to commemorate any of this,” he said, drawing on his own sudden loss, when his first wife and young daughter just before Christmas in 1972.

“I … know from my own experience that today is just as momentous a day for all of you, just as momentous day in your life, each of your families, as every September 11th has been, regardless of the anniversary,” he said. “For no matter how many anniversaries you experience, for at least an instant, the terror of that moment returns, the lingering moment of that phone call, the sense of total disbelief that envelops you. You feel like you’re being sucked into a black hole in the middle of your chest.”

This whole thing had me shaking my head.

Biden is his own worst enemy. The best choice for him is always for him to keep his mouth shut. :censored:

There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
