Want to short circuit my brain?........tell me......

1- Government is shrinking.

2- Welfare has been discontinued.

3- The foodstamp program has been discontinued.

4- Government housing has been sold to individuals and no more gov. subsidies.

5- WIC vouchers are voided.

6- School systems will ruled by local communities.

7- Vast numbers of now useless government employees are laid off....without pay.

8- Congress has to also abide by the laws they pass.

9- ....ADD YOUR OWN....

If there was only one to pick, that would be mine. But I would add:  No Federal dollars.  No Federal interference, whatsoever.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Thus is the slippery slope and why the totalitarian leftists want to put just a little bit of gun control, sensible gun control.

Unfortunately for us in this campaign it is not just the leftists that want more gun control.

Ten True Facts Guaranteed to Short-Circuit Republican Brains

1. The United States is not a Christian nation, and the Bible is not the cornerstone of our law.
You really need to stop falling asleep in history class.

In colonial Virginia you were required by law to attend/tithe to the Church of England. If you did not do this you were brought up in front of the court to give a good reason why you failed to do this and possibly receive a punishment. COE was the state religion. You could attend a Baptist church for example, only after appearing before the court and getting their permission. but you still had to tithe to the COE.

Our founders, being the smart guys that they were, decided that we should be able to attend the church that we wanted, or not attend at all for that matter. So because of that we now have the freedom of religion that the constitution guarantees us.

Our founders were indeed religious men and used the 10 commandments to help them draft our constitution.

And there's also that nasty little fact that many of the states had what was in essence a "state supported" religion. As states were given freedom we haven't known in a century (hence the term "Representative Republic") the feds were adamant of not forcing a standard "belief" (or lack thereof) on them. Autonomy of family, neighborhood, community, town, county, state was of the utmost importance (and in that order). They didn't not believe in God...that whole, inconvenient "endowed by our creator" thing...they just held freedom OF religion to be of utmost importance.

You know, you really have to wonder about a piece titled "Ten True Facts..."  Seriously, can there be Ten UNtrue  facts?  A fact is true, or it isn't a fact.  But I suppose most DUmmies don't understand that.   :lmao:

On Number 6, there actually wasn't a majority opinion in Roe v. Wade, there was a plurality, a concurrence based on different reasoning, and a dissent.

On Numbers 9 and 10, those are not actually facts, number 9 is one of those things that can be said without blowing up a polygraph because in one narrow technical accounting sense it can be arguably true, even though it's really complete bullshit looked at holistically, while number 10 is a claim that assumes its won truth, which does not make it a proven fact.

Point 1 is fundamentally wrong, and it is because the leftists love to extrapolate new meaning from genuine facts to match their agenda.

The foundation of the United States is based on basic biblical law, though it is also true that after The Constitution was adopted, there would be no required or recognized state religion.

This is where the primitives keep coming up with Potato.

Following principles based on religious ideals is not the same as recognizing and requiring and participation in any specific religion.
