Democrats Drop "God" from Platform

David Brody reports God's name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.

This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform: "We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-givenpotential."

Now the words "God-given" have been removed.

Then why do repugs give more to the poor than democrats do?

I am wondering if they are simply dropping God or if they are replacing it with government given potential.

Keep in mind that to the libs the only acceptable way to help the poor is through gov't intervention.  If you give directly to the poor your own time and money, you didn't really do that.

Study: Less religious states give less to charity
Of the 10 least generous states, nine voted Democrat in the 2008 election; 8 of 10 most generous voted Republican

BOSTON — A new study on the generosity of Americans suggests that states with the least religious residents are also the stingiest about giving money to charity.

The study released Monday by the Chronicle of Philanthropy found that residents in states where religious participation is higher than the rest of the nation, particularly in the South, gave the greatest percentage of their discretionary income to charity.

But Peter Panepento, the Chronicle's assistant managing editor, said that political breakdown likely speaks to a state's religious makeup, not its prevailing political views. He noted the lowest-ranked Democrat states were also among the least religious, while the top-ranked Republican states were among the more religious.

The study was based on Internal Revenue Service records of people who itemized deductions in 2008, the most recent year statistics were available.

By focusing on the percentage given to charity from discretionary income — the money left over after necessities are paid for — the study aimed to remove variables such as the differing costs of living around the country, Panepento said. The data allowed researchers to detail charitable giving down to the ZIP code, he said.

The party members in good standing in the democrat party dropped God from the platform 45 years ago. Now they are just admitting it.

On a serious not, with the anti- success, anti-Israel, anti-God, pro-baby murder, pro-racism, pro-totalitarianism, if0bamba wins I will be moving out of the country fore it is lost. This is not an idle threat but a strategy. I'm no big player but it will be a cut, one of millions that will kill the USA. As it was said the problem is not 0bama but that a population could elect an 0bama. you can't fight that.  I'm too old and wizened to think that two losses to irrationality can be overturned.

I'm not the only one.  If 0 wins the USA will turn into a not a second world county but a third because the producers will leave and the new producers will never come here.

As far as I know, Jesus never petitioned the government for social programs. He spoke to his flock as individuals. He was, in fact, executed by the government at the time, so I'm not sure mentioning Jesus and the government together really drives home the point the DUmbasses think it does.
