Number Of Muslim DNC Delegates Doubles
An estimated 100 Muslim delegates from 20 different states are attending the Democratic National Convention this year, the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Tuesday. There were 43 Muslim and Arab-American delegates at the DNC in 2008 and 25 in 2004, according to CAIR. For a group that stays all fired up about church/state interaction/separation, I don't understand why they would consider this an important statistic. Do they likewise keep track of the Baptists, Catholics, Unitarians, LDS, and so on? If not why not? Are they all *that* concerned about political correctness? Why can they not just state "There are X number of democrats in attendance, and some of them might go to church. Or not."
