Heard Durbin on Chicago radio yesterday afternoon, before they tried to change the platform.  He said...paraphrasing...well, nobody actually reads the party platforms anyway.  Sound familiar?

It's the Dem platform, both for and against God, at the same time, reaping all the benefits of both positions, and incurring no liability. Here on earth they get away with it, and are praised by their party for it.

I sincerely hope that a lot of the actual Christians that vote for Dems because they believe it really is the government's responsibility to take care of the poor saw that shameful display of the delegates screaming out against any mention of God in their party platform.  Might open a few eyes to the foolishness of voting for more and more government.

It saddens me that the Democrats don't embrace America's religious heritage. They for the most part claim to be Christian, but it seems questionable how true they are to their faith. Then again it's obvious that they aren't running on a Christian platform to begin with, what with their blatant disregard for the right to life. Christian socialism is one ideology which never seemed to make sense to me.
