My GOP "friends" do not get it. I ask them "What if everyone had a Masters Degree"??
Well, DUmbass, what if frogs had wings? Masters Degrees would become more worthless than the paper upon which they are printed and we'd need bigger fly swatters.
The GOP never think they are "lucky". They think they earned everything. And anyone not in their class didn't work hard enough.
No, stupid, we have very differing views on what "luck" entails. What you consider "luck" is what I consider preparation meeting opportunity (hat tip to Rush Limbaugh). To me, "luck" is when I drop the toast and it
doesn't land on the counter butter side down. Unlike you, I prepare and continue to practice so that when the opportunity arises, I am ready as opposed to you who has nothing but a piece of paper and "hope".
Can you figure out who the winner of that contest will be, DUmmie?
Lets say, everyone was equally educated. Everyone had a masters degree. Everyone could afford it. Or the government paid for it.
That would mean, SOMEONE still needs to work at McDonalds, someone still needs to dig ditches, someone would still need to work at a part time job with no benefits. These people would all have the same education. They just didn't get lucky enough to find jobs in their field. Even with their education.
"Education" does not always equal "smart" and a classroom is no substitute for experience. If I have 5 candidates for a position and they all have the same education level, I'm going to pick the one who was motivated enough to work in his field of study. If I have more than one of those, I'm picking the person who has the most experience. Easy, isn't it?
As far as the others who didn't bring anything to the table except a piece of pretty paper and an expectation of riches falling from the sky? The world needs ditch diggers, too...
What you are telling these people is that since you cannot find a good enough job, you do not deserve Health Care or Dental Care or a 401K plan. Or a minimum wage above the poverty level.
No, DUmmie, what
I am saying is that
you are not entitled to it at
my expense.
How can any caring person not sympathize with a person who did not get the breaks they did?
Very sympathetic to the man who went to school, worked in his field, and didn't get ahead because of circumstances beyond his control. Not sympathetic to the man who was not smart enough to try something different when what he was doing wasn't working out.
I agree, not everyone deserves the same salary as someone who is very successful.
Invalidated your entire argument with one sentence. Good job, DUmbass!
But they deserve healthcare and a non-poverty wage. They also deserve a non-poverty living after they retire.
But not have to actually work for it, right, DUmmie?
It seems so simple. Those of us who have it much better than the ones who do not, pay a little more.
It is that simple. I give several thousand a year to charity and I am nowhere near the same level of wealth as a liberal democrat politician. I actually give where it will help the most, how about you, DUmmie?
That might mean a little less vacation every year. That might mean buying a $40,000 car instead of a $50,000 car. But the payback is worth it.
First of all, stupid, your messiah has ensured "a little less vacation" for me and my family. I suspect I'm not alone in this...
Second, I don't pay anywhere north of 30k for a vehicle. If I want something nice, the local auto auction lot is full of bad money decisions from emotionally stunted fools like you. Same goes for damn near everything I pay
cash for.
Third, the "payback" has been a large section of the populace who feels they are entitled to what I work for and feel they can take it at gun point any time they want. Worth it? Maybe to a liberal leech, such as yourself.
How the GOP can be the "religious" party or the "moral" party is the biggest farce they have ever perpetrated.
Because we don't believe in paying you to lay on your ass? How horrible!

I honestly do not know how a GOP supporter can not live in guilt.
Easy, I've never had to rely on the labor of others to feed myself or my family. I worked hard, prepared, lived honorably, and built my life up from nothing to something.
I sleep very well at night...
