I read somewhere on line last week ( I was at work so it had to be either local paper or news channel, FoxNews or MSNBC as that's all we can access) .... people are being offered free tickets to attend Obama's speech on Thursday night, as far away as Atlanta and Birmingham.

Perhaps he should go to a smaller venue.

Nah...then he wouldn't be able to have columns. Though if he has them this time, instead of representing victorious statesmenship, he could be like Nero, standing amongst the ruins, while Washington burns....

He's busing in college kids from all over the South.  He'll fill the stadium, but the college kids will be partying the whole time, so don't expect anything coherant out of them.

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’. (BSS' note: )

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.

Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

Footage of rows of empty seats at the stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, as Obama speaks on Thursday night would be politically disastrous – an enduring image of the contrast between his campaign of ‘hope’ and ‘change’ in 2008 and his dour, negative struggle for re-election in 2012.
 
Now, it looks like the weather has come to the President's rescue.

They were forecasting this to be the level of 2008. Those forecasters should be fired. This race is nothing like 2008. A lot of things are not going the way it did back then, and the excitement is not there.

obama claimed that he would raise $1 billion dollars for the campaign - He didn't, not even close. 80% of the people who donated $200+ to him in 2008 haven't donated anything this year.

They claimed to be able to fill a 70,000 seat stadium - They can't even give the tickets away and they have to bus people in from hundreds of miles away to be there.

obama is going down. Plain and simple.
