Knowing the history of the Romney family, I have a theory.

The US has always been know as a melting pot, people from other countries have come here and want to come here to have a better life.

Not so with the Romney's; they are the opposite. Mitt's grandfather fled the US because he didn't want to live by the laws of the United States of America.

He fled Mexico because he wanted to have more than one wife; he wanted to do as his religious views dictated and live a life of polygamy. Mexico was chosen as the preferred home of the Romney's over the US.

George Romney was raised in this family environment; his father, raised him to hate the US. This explains his statement about being forced out of Mexico; he didn't choose to come back to the US. How could he not be bitter?

Now comes Mitt, whose father didn't want to live in the US, but then decided to run for public office when Mitt was young. One has to wonder his motivation for doing so. To change what his family hated about the US? Mitt was raised by this man, who has influenced his attitudes and beliefs; passing down the bitterness and hatred to his son.

Considering all of this, there may be validity in questioning if Mitt really is loyal to the US and it may explain his cut throat business practices and obsession with becoming president.

Dare I say that the Romney family has a deep hatred of the US, specifically the federal government, that has been passed down through generations?

Dare I say that Mitt has never felt patriotic or a sense of belonging to the US?

Dare I say that Mitt wants to be president to ruin the US and avenge his family?

Yes I do.

Seriously? Have they really projected 0bama's biography on to Romney?

What words or action are there from Romney that shows that he doesn't like this country?
It is 0bama who has said that the US needs to be fundamentally changed, it is 0bama who has said that the US is mean, arrogant and on and on how horrible this country is.

2. it would explain

why no one in the Romney family ever fought FOR the US, at anytime in 4 generations.
No Romney has ever worn the uniform of any of the armed forces of the United States.

How many 0bamas have served?

4. Well I've studied his genealogy enough and most of his family came to the US very recently

(relatively speaking), being immigrants from Europe in the mid-late 1800s. They didn't waste much time before heading off to Mexico, either, so he has little in the way of established historical roots in the US.

Loyalty to the very concept of a United States of America could very well be an issue with him.

Of course I am comparing him to somebody like me, where almost every branch of my family goes back to New England in the 1600s and early 1700s, and I have lost count of how many of my ancestors fought in the Revolution.

So your idea does make one wonder........

Yet 0bama was raised in other countries, he was brought up to hate what the US is and what it stands for, yet somehow you think he is loyal to this country.

8. ridiculous. man, how I hate this stinking dog shit. I don't care

whether it's about the President or horrible Mitt. I don't even care anymore if it's tongue in cheek.

And anyone who says george romney hated the U.S. is ****ing ignorant- or stupid.

This is nothing but birtherism politics.

Revolting. Disgusting. And most of all:

Stupid.

10. That's why I said it was a theory....

I have a right to think out loud here, and there is a very real possibility there's truth to what I've said.

There isn't any evidence the Romney family cares much about the US and its people either.

Yeah all those stories we heard at the convention were made up. He didn't really hang out with that kid with cancer and make his will for him, he really bought the company where that kid's dad worked at and fired him and took his health insurance away.  :mental:

Dear DUmpmonkeys.
Theories are nothing but really good guesses based on some long term observations and studies.
They have yet to be proven.
What your avalux did was make up crap, fling some poo, and you idiots buy it.
This why you're DUmmies.

Romney's grandparents were 1) US citizens, 2) monogamous, although they beleved in polygamy. If anyone actually read anything about the Mormon faith, they would know that polygamy was outlawed in 1890, and people who practiced it were pretty much ostricized.

They fled Mexico because there was a Revolution going on. It was flee or die for the Mormons down there.

If George Romney hate the US so much, why did he try so hard to better Michigan and America? Why didn't the grandparents head back to Mexico if they hated the U.S.? Why didn't George Romney go back to his boyhood home, and take his family with him?

Awwe how cute. The DUmmy is claiming to be a Mayflower (1620) descendant. Like the people in NE were the first permanent settlements of Europeans in this country. But I am sure the little primitive never looked into any history besides what the liberal teachers up there spoon fed it. :rotf: :rotf:

My family came here in 1607 as a capitalist venture to Virginia (not counting the ones who already lived here at the time) and became the founding families of the US.

If this is their attempt to paint Romney as less "patriotic" or "American" than Obama, it is a sad and pitiful one.  It's a good thing Mitt's parents weren't an avowed communist and a Kenyan expat or the DUmmies might get ugly.

I have a theory that Anne Romney has never said she was ashamed to be an American and that they have never sat in a church and heard a preacher say "God Damn America".
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I was reading a news article about how the movie "2016" is a smash hit, despite no promotional budgeting or advance marketing to advertise it.

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv-movies/2016-obama-america-shocks-film-industry-a-box-office-success-virtually-promotional-budget-article-1.1150536

I saw this comment, which sounds interesting:

Quote
Kenneth Lamb37 minutes ago
Another example that for Obama, it's all about "ME!"

Speaking of Obama, and his personality, someone asked me why I thought it possible Obama was born in Kenya.

I replied, "Because for 16 years Obama told everyone on the face of the plant
that he was born in Kenya."

I got that classic doe in the headlights look.

"Obama said he was born in Kenya?," she replied. "I thought he said anyone who believed that was a tin-foil hat whack job?"

Well," I replied, "the real whack jobs are the journalists and Obama himself. He's the one who told the world he was born in Kenya, and he did it for 16 years. The documented truth is that he's only told the world for the past 6 years he was born in America."

"OK," she smiled. "Let's hear it... "

I asked if she remembered the news story about Obama's literary agent's bio on him.

"Here's the way it works," I explained. "The literary agent writes up the bio from the notes given by the client - in this case, Obama himself. After writing it up, the agent requires the client to read it, and sign off on it before it goes anywhere. That's to make sure there are no mistakes in it."

"So you're telling me Obama had to read his bio, and give a written approval before the agent would use it?", she replied.

"You got it," I said. "So for 16 years Obama knew his official bio said he was born in Kenya. And every time he gave a speech, or was otherwise introduced about his book, the literary agent would provide it for reference. That means that for 16 years Obama, through his agent, and his personal acceptance of the bio's content told the world he was born in Kenya.

"Now let me ask you, why shouldn't I believe him if he's standing next to me, and I introduce him, saying he's born in Kenya? It's his bio, and he knows that he's telling everyone he's born in Kenya."

She looked interested.

"Got any other examples of him saying he was born in Kenya?", she asked.

"Well, as you know, Obama and his gang like to call anyone who says he's from Kenya a 'birther' - a term meant to insult the other person," I added. "Do you think the Associated Press is a birther?"

"Of course not," she laughed. "Are you going to tell me that they also said he was born in Kenya?"

"Yeah, I am." I replied. "When Obama was running for the US Senate from Illinois, The Chicago Sun-Times ran a profile story about him that was picked up by the AP and run around the world. In the headline, still available on the web, it says 'Kenyan-born' Obama.

"Now do you honestly believe that neither Obama, nor his campaign manager, nor his press secretary, or his media expert, nor anyone else on the campaign's leadership team read that article? Now you know they did - so if that wasn't Obama's official story, then why didn't they get it corrected to say he was born in America? No one would allow such a mistake to go by without a correction - and to this day the newspaper and the AP have never issued a correction on the story."

"Wow!" she said. "So Obama is telling the world he's born in Kenya for 16 years, and only changes his story when he has to be born in America to run for president. That's a whack job!"

"Here's my theory," I continued. "Obama went to these colleges and is a serial felon who defrauded them out of tons of money by claiming to be a foreign exchange student. Or..."

"Or what?", she said.

"Or... he really was born in Kenya, just like he said for 16 years. So only one of two things is true: Obama is a serial felon, which explains why he's dropped over $2-million to keep his school records locked up, or he actually was born in Kenya. Either you have a serial felon, or a fraud running for president who knows he's not qualified to run," I explained. "Take your pick - serial felon of fraud. And in both cases, a total pathological liar.

"He, and the journalists who pile onto mocking anyone who questions his birth place, and his supporters who buy his lie are the real whack jobs."

"So why hasn't the press jumped on this?", she innocently asked.

"Because they are terrified of the Black Racists," I answered. "If they do anything to him, they get the 'You're racist!' slander thrown at them. Or else they just haven't got the integrity to be honest. I'm betting on a combination of both.

"But you and I can be honest; if a white candidate was found to have lied for 16 years about where he was born, or if he was a serial felon, they'd be on him like a dog on a bone.

"In their attempt to appear non-racist, they reveal they are the biggest racists in America.

"And Obama? He's either a serial felon, or a a fraud. There is no other explanation."
