we need to go back to those principles the Founders had. (What? I can already hear you, when did...?

You see the Founders had a certain allergy to powerful corporations. It was to the point that corporations were not formed to be inherited from father to son (we know wimenfolk back then did not vote or have property rights)...It gets better than that. Corporations that were found to do something against the common well being of the community, could be given the death penalty... as in they disappear overnight.

So yup, I agree with Mr. Armey... we need to go back to THAT, when it comes to corporations... Yup, I want to be able to impose the corporate death penalty on bad actors, and stop this shit.

I am sure though that Armey does not quite mean it that way.

In his view we should have them minorities and wimenfolk go back to their role in society, as inferior, and he surely does not mean any of the regulations that have blighted business all over.

But damn, at times I wish people like Mathews actually spoke of things before a certain 1888 Supreme Court Opinion.

Does she know Wall St is where the George Washington was inaugurated and the Bill of Rights was passed?

So, I'm pretty sure the idea of corporations and private property were well within the considerations of the founders.

I majored in history, and I never heard of a young US "disappearing" troublesome corporations that got too big.
I never heard of any anti-business activities on the part of the US govt.

Now I know DUmmies lie, and they lie all the time. But why rewrite history before the true history books have been burned?

I am guessing Nads is referring to the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1888 - it is the only thing that makes sense out of her Mick Armromney screed.

However, someone needs to remind Nads that Senator Sherman was an Evil Rethug, and that the focus of the act was to end price manipulation by artificially raising prices by restricting supply (Standard Oil) - Ironically, Obama is doing the same thing with the same product, except he is using the force of the federal government to generate a maze of red tape and egregious laws to meet the same goal.

Since I'm old as dirt, I can remember watching by candlelight as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson discussed this on a black and white TV. They specifically mentioned bringing down General Motors and IBM. There was a video of it on Facebook at one time but I can't find it right now.
