Esse Quam Videri (391 posts) On FB there is a story that MSNBC didn't show any of the speeches at the RNC hatefestthat were given by minorities. Since there is no way in hell I could even bring myself to watching can someone confirm or refute these claims?
woolldog (5,958 posts) 2. Confirmed.Personally, I don't care, because I put most of the speeches on mute anyway (I switched over to CNN to watch part of Artur Davis' speech). But it was Bush-league on MSNBC's part.

Nice try wingnuts... ON EDIT - Saw the part about the minorities, and actually, you're correct..... MSNBC didn't show them, and that was definitely not right....
TheDonkey (8,813 posts) 5. In MSNBC's defense the minority speakers were B-leagueMSNBC only showed 3 speeches and that was keynote, wife and #1 primary threat (they should have skipped this clown). I could see some outrage if MSNBC also covered a b-league caucasion speaker like Boehner but they shouldn't get much flak for wasting time with Mia Love and Arthur Davis. Dim-witted b-league attention speakers that were only inserted into the convention in order to deflect criticism of Romney's racist campaign.

The people trotted out were small business owners and maybe Congressional Candidates. MSNBC only showed the Governors (Kasich, Walker, Mc'Donnell, Haley and Christie), Senate candidate Ted Cruz and Ann Romney.
Is there a more racist bunch of bastards than the DUmp?

They knew the schedule the networks would broadcastIf they were interested in showcasing their idiotic minorities they would had slotted them within their schedule. In reality, if MSNBC or any cable network were to broadcast the complete convention the Republican Party would lose some of their supporters. So they should thank MSNBC for not broadcasting everything.

I had my TV tuned into C-span and put MSNBC in the corner on mute. Maddow came back just as he finished. His whole speech was missed because it was full of commercials.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
WOW!!!! I can't believe the hypocrisy in that thread.
