And now, hate-filled right-wing assholes will be posting pictures of pancakes all over the web tonight.
Rachel Corrie was guilty of nothing but working for a better world. All she wanted was peace and justice. She deserved no one's hate for wanting and working for those things.
Nor does she deserve leftist absolution and attempts to ruin the lives of another individual who was seeking his own country's protection from terrorism.
Working for a better world does not protect you from the perils and harm that could befall you in a dangerous war environment. Somehow liberals think the realities of the world and life should carry an exemption for them; another justification of their whole 'good intentions' thing.
Edited to add I don't recall DUers having a lot of sympathy for missionaries who are killed in dangerous areas. In those cases it seems those individuals should have accepted responsibility for being in a dangerous area and the perils that came with it. At least in Corrie's case, she was given a warning to mind herself and that was putting herself in harms way. Many missionaries killed don't have that opportunity and they are far LESS hostile to the local community then a bunch of mushy brained peace activist 20 something year olds.
