Thanks for the clarifications, gentlemen. When one is hard of hearing, sometimes don't hear the lyrics quite right. I was like kinda way off!!! :whatever: but then againsometimes I feel the musician doesn't always annunciate very well either..

Gordon Lightfoot was communicating pretty good in that song. Most of the lyrics he got from the reports and scanner feeds. It is a great song.

"Lay it on the Line" is one of my favorite 80s power ballads. The live performance in Halifax is da shit.

Yup, that is one of my favorite Triumph songs.

not him in particular, there are many musicians who don't annunciate very well.. Big Dog mentioned a website of often misheard lyrics that are pretty funny. Maybe he can provide a link so we can all have some good laughs!!

Rush (the band) can GDIAF, in my opinion.

I do like Gordon Lightfoot -- Sundown, Carefree Highway

Sarah McLaughlin's "Building a Mystery"

BTO -- Let it Ride (fav)

Defiinitely Celine Dion; just hearing her talk is unbearable too.

I can't vote on Bieber cuz I never heard anything he sings; bubblegum "music" is not allowed near me or in my home.

There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Good song. Seen them in concert in the 80's with three friends. They were a brother, sister and cousin of each other. The brother fell off a roof taking down Christmas lights and died  young, the sister died at a zoo with her kids of an asthma attack at 30 years old and the cousin is in jail.....I'm the only one left!

I love the music but sometimes the songs bring back emotional memories for me. The brother and sister were great friends of mine, so was their cousin.

The worst: LOVERBOY.  I saw them at a "Day on the Green" a multiple band concert in Oakland Ca. The lead singer was so off they got booed off stage.

Even though Rush has DUmbass (Peart) views, I still like their classic albums.

On my system at home the sound quality of this album is very good.   :cheersmate:

The unobtainable is unknown at Zombo.com

They were just so played to death in the 70s when I was in HS, I STILL can't listen to them.

Same with Springsteen (sorry Big Dog) -- especially around here! Can't stand Bruce

The same applies to me, with Jimmy Buffet.

I had a roommate in college who played Buffet non-stop -- yeah, I kind of hated him too after awhile.  He does do a decent version of The Dead's Scarlet Begonias that I can actually listen to but not much else.

The only song that is played over and over again of Buffett's is Margaritaville. The rest of his songs didn't get much. They are some really good songs. Then I am a self confessed parrot head. I saw him in concert about eight years ago, I was too drunk (From all the people at the tailgate giving out alcohol and food - I didn't have to take any food or alcohol with me) to remember most of it.

Buffet has tried to cross over to the country side of music.  His songs fit in with Kenny Chesney's style.

Yes they do. I am a big fan of Kenny Chesney as well. In fact; Chesney has said numerous times that Buffett is one of his biggest influences.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.
