Now do you believe us? Some of us have been

telling you how radical the GOP actually is
. Now that they finally went "clean" with their campaign plank, you believe us how far right this party has gone? We are up a shit creek with no paddle folks. They are that serious.

This is also the natural product of the southern strategy, and of course other events, including inviting in the crazee uncles thinking they could control them. The last time they threw them out, so time will tell.

Yup, quiverfull is main stream in the party. So is full on racism... (I know you already knew this one), and the conflict is between the business faction and the social conservatives. Lemme tell you, the business faction lost that war a whole ago, so the natural result is the know nothings of the 21st century.

But still now you finally believe us? We were not kidding when we said a few years ago this is where they were going.

And trust me, I expect these guys to go even far more into crazee territory. We have not yet hit button. That is unless some rational people decide to accept the inevitable and expel the crazee uncle again. The last time that was the John Birchers, now it is the tea parties... and how are they connected? The Koch clan.

This will not be fun to watch actually.

See DUmbasses, Nutcase Nadin was right all along!!11 Now, bow down and FEAR her/it/whatever.

I blame Ron Paul for a majority of it.

He opened the floodgates for these kinds of candidates.

Yeah...The GOP is lousy with Paultards, thats why he did so good in the primary...wait,whut?

Actually Paul is just one SMALL and very loud faction

the Tea Parties (while have some paulists in them) are a very different animal. Given who is behind them, nope, not Ron Paul.

Take that you stupid Paulbots!

After defending him to the hilt during his term, of course.

Once he was out of office, their immediate response to the ongoing and justified criticism of Junior's policies was, "Well, he wasn't a REAL conservative."

They do have a point there, if only in that W was not a Teabagger-type, which is how conservatives define conservative these days.

"the business faction lost that war"

Are you kidding me?  Seriously?  What did the Bush administration do for business?  Now tell me what two terms of Bush and Republican control of the House and Senate did for social conservatives.

Because I get - for the business faction

Bush tax cuts 1
Bush tax cuts 2
Iraq war
Afghanistan war
clear skies act
healthy forests act
medicare prescription drug benefit
no increase in the minimum wage for six years
regulators populated by industry insiders
etc.

and the social conservatives got what?

school prayer?
school vouchers?
abortion restrictions?
stem cell restrictions?  (okay, score one there)
faith based initiatives (score another tiny victory)

What am I missing that social conservatives got?

It IS true that almost every Republican politician pays lip service to social conservatives. They praise the Lord and curse abortions and gays (unless they are in blue districts).

But it is also true that every Republican politician actually DOES things for the business faction.

The truth is that today the republican party is far more to the left. The republican party of 2012 is the democrat party of 1964. The democrat party of 2012 is almost a mirror image of the National Socialist Workers Party of 1934. Their party planks are almost identical except that NAZI party was not so gung ho on abortion.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

The Nazis may not have been gung ho on abortion, but they loved the forced sterilization of certain groups, something that DEMOCRAT legislatures here have done in the past.
