Eva Longoria.  Ah well, they gave up the last remaining vestiges of any pretensions about substance in favor of pure media-whoring four years ago, so I suppose it should be no surprise.  It was, after all, a destination they'd been heading toward for quite some time.

I would think that if they were serious about getting a good speaker they would get Zell Miller. He's a dem and he may have some things to say about BarRack.

I am surprised that they don't have Chris 'Tingle up my leg' Matthews speaking. He would be great, with all the panting and drooling he does over Captain Zero.

You can guarantee that MSNBC will be covering the Dem convention 24/7 the whole time it going on - With all the great things they say it will have. They will be getting gitty over every comment and action. It will be totally opposite of the way they will cover the Republican Convention, if they cover it at all.

Actually, Tingly Chrissy would have been a better choice, having been a hack in the Carter administration.

What exactly are Eva Longoria's qualifications?

--Married to basketball player.  Check.
--Divorced said basketball player.  Check.
--Actress on a show of adulterous and bitchy women.  Check.
--Confirmed on ADD and takes Ritalin for it.  Check.
--Running for or has held political office.  Oops.
--Majored in political science, economics, or law.  Whoops again.  (Although Wiki and IMDB have her with a BS in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Kingsville, which is almost Harvard.  Really.)
