Then, naturally, at the end the President then asks for money to defeat Mitt Romney, who, according to the email, does not want a "secure retirement" for seniors.

I'm not sure about the truth of that spending part, Obama has been spending tons of money to slime Romney and Ryan and although they have been out-doing Obama on the fund-raising, my sense of it is that the R&R campaign is actually holding fire on spending until after the RNC for the most part.
