"Samurai robber" shot dead by Dairy Queen worker, Vegas police say

A masked robber wielding a samurai sword was shot dead by an employee at a Las Vegas Dairy Queen around noon Sunday, police said.

Detectives say the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Bongkuk Pak, was shot twice and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.


Clark County coroner's officials say Pak died of gunshot wounds to the torso.


Metro Police Lt. Les Lane tells the Las Vegas-Journal the sword Pak had was at least three-feet long.

I would say a 3 foot sword was a deadly weapon.

Supposedly, in the script, that scene was supposed to be a huge fight between the sword-wielder and Indy.  But, Harrison Ford had a case of malaria (or something similar), and he had just enough strength to do what showed up in the film.  Probably the funniest scene of that flick.
