Affirmative action based on sexual behavior

Exclusive: Joseph Farah tells of Obama appointing staff based on bedroom proclivities
Published: 2 days ago

One of the advantages of living as long as I have, through the 1960s and 1970s, is historical memory.

I recall the very genesis of what we have come to call the “gay rights movement.”

Back in the day, homosexual activists said something that appealed to the libertarian nature of so many of us: “What we do in the privacy of our own bedrooms is nobody’s business.”

Most of us really didn’t care what people did in the privacy of their own bedrooms – as long as it wasn’t illegal. And very few of us wanted to start snooping into the bedrooms of Americans to determine whether laws were being broken.

But that was then. This is now.

Today, homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and “transgendereds” are being actively recruited to the top echelons of government precisely because of what they do in their bedrooms – and what they do is no longer nobody’s business, it’s everyone’s business.

What am I talking about?

Let me introduce you to the Presidential Appointments Project of the Gay and Lesbian Victory Institute.

Here you will find a recruiting agency for government officials based on their sexual proclivities. You can see a list of more than 250 open members of the so-called “LGBT” community appointed by Barack Obama’s administration to federal government policy jobs.

The institute boasts that the long list means the Obama administration has set a record for appointing more openly LGBT individuals to the federal government than all previous administrations combined.

In other words, the Obama administration has an active affirmative-action program to seek out lesbians, male homosexuals, bisexual people and “transgendereds” for top policy jobs.

It helps if you announce your unusual sexual proclivities proudly. Then you help fill the numbers quotas.

There’s an old saying in politics – “personnel equals policy.” There’s little question the so-called LGBT agenda is getting a major push through this kind of affirmative-action plan.

Is it any wonder that judges are overturning popular votes to affirm marriage as an institution between one man and one woman?

Is it any wonder that executive branch officials are disregarding duly passed laws of Congress protecting marriage?

Is it any wonder that just four years ago, Barack Obama ran on a campaign of opposing same-sex marriage and today is running on a campaign favoring it?

This is the kind of “progress” the LGBT agenda could only dream of

I'll take a LGBLT sandwich, hold the LG.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

And so we see yet again what happens when factors other than merit or expertise are allowed to take priority.  Garbage in, garbage out.

At least it is now open knowledge and not something to hide and make speculation on.   But then, when some of our law makers come trotting about waving cell phone pictures of their Wiener, makes me wonder if these guys were my son, what would embarrass me more a gay son in government or a straight son sending everyone photo's of his manhood.

Some things are best not to think about at my age.

Then and now

This article is one of the most disturbing things I have read in some time.  Liberals have been passing these affirmative action laws for years now, with virtually no opposition from conservatives.  They use these laws to do favors for their friends and stack the deck in their favor.  It is just one more example of democrats pandering to their base.
What I find hard to believe is that these laws get passed without so much as a whimper from conservatives.  I have to believe that at the very least these laws violate the fourteenth amendment, specifically the equal protection clause.  How can it be legal for a group of people to be given preferential treatment based on their sexual orientation?
I've said this before and I'll say it again, this country is under constant attack by socialists, and they are winning.  One only has to look around the country to see that I am right.  I view socialism as a disease and I believe that it has spread too far already to stop it.  We the people have ignored the problem for too long, our complacency has brought us to where we are today and we have no one to blame but ourselves. :argh:

We are all riding on a big train that is racing down the tracks at full speed, and there is nothing we can do to stop it.  I don't know how long it is going to take, 50 years or maybe a 100, but eventually this train is going to crash full speed into a wall made up of our own greed and complacency, the crash is going to be devastating.  We may be able to pick up the pieces and put them back together but the end result will never look anything like the founding fathers had intended.  I know some of you are thinking, “Just more doom and gloom”.  I can assure you that this is not the case.  I challenge you to look at the facts and come to your own conclusions.  I'm confident that if you'll be truthful to yourself you'll come to realize that I'm right.  I can provide countless examples if you want me to, I would be more than happy to do it, but we are all adults here and we know what the examples are going to show us.

I don't want this country to go down in history as a total failure because of socialism.  I am a retired military veteran who has given many years of his life defending this nation and its ideals.  I love this country as much as anyone but sometimes we have to face facts.  I just think that we have gone past the point of no return.  Even with all of this I want to be optimistic about our future.  Even though it may be small one I think we still have a chance to turn things around, but it is going to take some drastic measures. The left is going to fight us kicking and screaming all the way but I think we can kick their asses if we work smart and stop being afraid to confront them.

The upcoming election is very important.  Mitt Romney is not the perfect choice but when we add Ryan to the mix I think we have a good team, and we can win.  If we do win and we spend the next four years undoing the worst of Obama’s disasters we might just stand a chance of turning this around.  Then if we run Ryan and he gets elected we could find ourselves in good shape.  As president he could spend an additional four years cleaning up Obama's mess and add some positive ideas of his own.  As an added bonus is if we can maintain our majority in the house and perhaps gain a majority in the senate we could find ourselves in a very good position to make some real changes if we don't get stupid about it. Time will tell.

I agree with you, Bondai.

If the Magic One gets re-elected, then this nation as a free country will be history.

If R&R do well, and they win re-election, then Ryan will be the next presidential candidate. We can only hope...
