The Kennedy dynasty? The happiest day of my life was when they were finally eradicated once and for all and will never have a direct affect on our political system again. My greatest wish is that the Clinton's will follow the same path. The amount of damage they have caused this country is considerable. They are dug into our political system like a couple of ticks on a hound dog and they just won't let go. No matter what you try you just can't get rid of them. Now we are starting to hear that Chelsea wants to join mommy and daddy at the trough, oh joy. I think that the Republican party, conservatives and even tea party members should work together to prevent her from ever becoming involved in politics in any way, shape, or form. I don't care how they do it, I mean it. Use the Rove smear machine, whatever it takes to break the cycle.

I'll go so far as to say that I am not anxious to see any more Bush family members in the political spotlight either. This dynasty stuff is bullshit and it is not good for the country. It's the same thing as these Congressman who wind up spending their entire lives in office, never once being challenged. This kind of thing is not healthy and we need to find a way to stop it. :banghead:

Gillibrand as the next president??  What world do these people live in?  She is frankly a nobody.  She isn't even the most likely democrat in her state to get a presidential nomination.

I wish the Clinton family would go back to Arkansas and stay out of NY politics.

Schumer retiring is an idea I can get behind, though.

And yet you end up getting fired over bitching about earwig infestations.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen, Cali.  How the mighty have fallen.

BTW--I'll be in Vermont this weekend.  I'll be sure to drop by the old stomping grounds and order up a nice overpriced pot of tea.  Wait, no I won't.  I'll be the one with a beer in my hand, laughing my ass off at you tools who think voting for Obama again is going to save our country.

Are you NY, andhe78?

I don't think Schumer's going anywhere; he wants Reid's job, God forbid.  He's going to be one of these guys who'll leave the senate feet first.  What the appeal of this guy is, is beyond me.  He's forever meddling in stupid stuff, like baggage handling fees and minutae like that.  Smarmy and oily, I can't stand the guy.  Those reading glasses perched at the end of his stupid nose...  :argh:

Yeah, NY my entire life.  I agree with you on Schumer, smarmy is the perfect word.  I saw him in person during a speech he gave in this area after a really bad snowstorm, couldn't stand the guy and just the way he acted in those few minutes-camera whore if I ever saw one.

Edit:  Western NY my entire life, try to stay out of the city as much as possible.

You know what the most dangerous place in the US is?

Between Chuck Schumer and a camera.

I could never figure out why New Yorkers dumped Alphonse d'Amato, back in 1998.

Who could possibly dislike Alphonse d'Amato?

Damn, he was a great senator.

Yes, he was.  I voted for the guy twice.  It bothered me when Schmucky beat him.

You know, Chelsea has learned from her Mom and Dad all she needs to know to make her way to the top....she'll blow away every male and lick every female that stands between her and the whitehouse.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
