This is my first post using that Excel program I have for auto-downloading and putting together a DUmmie thread. This post took less than 6 minutes to write, INCLUDING my comments. All formatting had been done automatically.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/125170379I'm sure that you can count the fingers on one, "perhaps" two, hands of EVERYONE you know who actually believes that Joe Biden is an effective, intelligent, articulate vice president and all-around great dude. Personally, Bozo the Clown had more presidential appeal, but I digress. The DUmpmonkeys have decided to see who would love to have a beer with him, and there were more people in this thread than visited Obama in the beer tent in Iowa. So maybe the OP has a point...

Check in if you LOVE Joe Biden...
I used to think it was stupid when people said of a candidate, "He's the kind of guy you'd like to have a beer with" as though that was somehow an important part of governance.
But just let me say that having a beer with Joe Biden is officially on my bucket list. I love the guy.
And, Joe, I'm buying!
Ahhh, if you are buying, make sure you cash your unemployment check first. Most bars still have that "In God we trust, all others pay cash" signs by the ding-a-ling.

I'm all for Joe!
Haven't had a beer with him, but have been to a ballgame with him.
You mean you know he's the Famous Chicken, right?

They're scared of him
Biden is going to tear Ryan to shreds in the debate and use a tattered copy of Atlas Shrugged to mop Ryan's tears off the floor.

What's not to love about a fundamentally honest and generous person?
He's one of a vanishingly small number of "public servants" in elected office these days. He's almost a 'throwback' to the post-WW2 era when returning GIs saw, up close and personal, what happens when people with genuine and egalitarian public interest don't get involved in their own political systems.
Sometimes, in a democracy, we actually get better than we deserve. Biden is an example.
Yes, Joe Biden is DEFINITELY better than we conservatives deserve!! He's the funniest gaffer in VP history!!

At first I wanted BHO to pick Hillary
But choosing Joe was one of the best things he ever did (plus Hillary is an awesome S of S).
Joe is our secret weapon. He will destroy Lyin' Ryan in the debates. Plus the likability factor alone--sweet Joe vs. that weaseley-eyed worm.
Boars, unicorns, and a red man with horns and a stuck tongue...

I love him because he is genuine.
So many politicians try to be that but Joe really is. He is not a gaffe-machine to me like the media says. He says what he really feels and is not over polished and robotic like so many politicians are today (Romney and Ryan specifically).
Gee...my 8 year old nephew is not overly polished and robotic and he says what he really feels too... guess that makes him as intelligent as the VP...

I love Joe
He has a lot of heart and a real passion for the people, something so seldom found today in politicians. I think he was extra courteous to Palin in the VP debate, but I think you will see a much more aggressive debate with Ryan.
"Extra courteous" to Palin means he got flattened like a steamroller
