Tony Perkins has released a short statement: "The police are investigating this incident. Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family."

A security guard and a suspect have reportedly been shot in an office building near the heart of Chinatown in Northwest Washington, police say. MPD officials say the shooting happened in the 800 block of G Street in Northwest, about a block west of the Verizon Center. The shooting took place either near or at the offices of the Family Research Council, which is located at 801 G Street. In a statement posted to their website, FRC President Tony Perkins said one of the victims worked with the organization.

The FBI is on the scene.

I prefer FRC. They really have nothing to do with Family in any way, shape, or form.

So, according to the DUmp, it's perfectly ok to target hate groups. By that "logic" it's perfectly fine to go around shooting down members of the DUmp in cold blood since they are even more of a hate group than the Family Research Council.

You've got to give the DUmp some credit. They'll take a word or term, regardless if it is just something made up out of thin air, and just beat the natural hell out of it until it has absolutely no life in it whatsoever.

I believe the poster is poking a bit of fun at the concept of stochastic terrorism and daring DUers to take their own medicine and use the term here.

We have no info on the shooter yet, but generally speaking, when a liberal group is targeted for violence, the accusations that Rush and co. share responsibility usually come pretty quick. Since liberals have strongly condemned the FRC, one would think the stochastic terrorism label would be applied here as well.

That is, if you believe in the concept in the first place, which I really don't.

I think he'll get called on the carpet considering his speech after the 9/11 troofer went-off and his recent "soul-searching" comments.

But if he does then he gives away a valuable political tool: creating the impression that the RW is exclusively hate and hate is exclusively RW.

And, after his lifetime of hanging around people like Frank Marshal Davis, Jeremiah Wright, the New Black Panthers and Bill Ayers, I think Obama likes the idea of political violence to achieve his ends.
