DES MOINES, Iowa — Paul Ryan's remarks at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines today turned into a confrontational scene when hecklers sought to drown him out and then rush the stage.

Ryan had barely begun speaking when a woman shouted, "Are you going to cut Medicare?"

Two women rushed the stage, and one was apparently arrested by three Iowa State Patrolmen after getting on stage with a banner.

"Woah...hey...alright...she must not be from Iowa" said a dumbfounded Ryan as the woman got on stage.
The officers bounded out from behind the stage to pull her down, saying "She just punched a volunteer."

Ryan continued to deliver his stump speech over shouts of "stop the war on the poor", "stop the war on the middle class" and "stop the war on the common good" with those heckles at times drowned out by chants of
"U-S-A."

Rep. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s new vice presidential running mate, was interrupted by several protesters at a campaign event at the Iowa State Fair Monday.

Update: Cherie Mortice, who participated in the protest, told TPM in a phone interview that it was organized by Iowa Citizens For Community Improvement, a nonpartisan progressive group in the state. They are the same group that heckled Mitt Romney at last year’s Iowa State Fair, prompting his famous response that “Corporations are people.”

“Our concern with Ryan is that he wants to cut social benefits like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, which we feel have been an extremely important safety net for the middle class and poor in this country,” Mortice told TPM.

I say go ahead and keep doing this. THE Iowa Highway patrol and the SS will love the opportunity to take your ass into custody and let you sit in a jail cell while you explain to your friends and neighbors why you need bail money NOW. And another thing you might want to think about is that your employer might not think your so great of an employee if you don't make bail and get to work on time the next day or when you have to explain why you need the time off for a court date. Not that your kind would lie to your employers or anything.

How long before the libs beat the "stochastic terrorism" dead horse, before they get tired of it, and Moveon.org, and go Forward to the next lib shiny ? I hope it's not much longer. It's inane, to say the least.

Actually, Id like them to stick with it, right through the election. Yes, its dull, and provides nearly nothing on any comedic value-- However - It keeps them busy. And a primitive busy doing something meaningless, is a primitive not causing any real damage.

Don't think that will play well the the "middle class" and "working poor" you're trying to attract. Right now while the majority of the country is worried about whether they're going to make it until payday...(a way of life since 0bama was elected)...and worried about the direction of the country, it's a really good time to remind what selfish, immature people you people on the left are.

Please do keep it up! America is trying to make a serious decision, one that will affect their families' lives, perhaps for generations. And the big impression you're leaving with them? Why should they elect someone whose supporters act like 2 year olds? Are they so lacking in ideas this is all they have? You DO represent your side when you make a public spectacle of yourself. There's a reason every dem up for reelection is running from the occupoopers (and your adopted messiah, the boy king) like they had the plague! You protest, our side will continue to rebuild the country from the ground up. The adults will be back in charge before you know it.

There is no such thing as "stochastic terrorism." It is something made up by the Daily KOS. What all of Marxism is could be called "Stochastic Stupidity" where Marxist outlets encourage stupidity based on a stupid ideology that can never work.

"Stochastic terrorism" is someone opening up the dictionary at random twice. Just like the Jesuit that came up with "social justice."
