Should President Obama respond to Romney's desperation pick of Ryan with a counterpunch of a NEW vice-president?

If so, who would be the most effective VP against Ryan? Who would be the best future for the Democratic Party?

My own pick would have been Jennifer Granholm, but she was born in Canada, so that eliminates her. I don't really like Hillary Clinton that much, mostly because of her age... However, I do respect Hillary as a really solid campaigner, and it would be funny to watch her debate against Ryan, assuming he has the guts to show up. Bill Richardson of New Mexico was someone I liked, but he had a cloud and is getting old, too... I just looked over the current Democratic governors, and I admit that I don't really like any of them that much as a potential VP. Bev Perdue is kind of interesting, but also on the old side. Where are the promising young Democrats?

This is not intended as a criticism of Joe Biden. I like him, and even think he's done a pretty good job, though the VP slot is mostly a do-nothing job--unless you're going to run for president, and I think Joe is too old for that. In contrast, I think Joe has the potential to be a magnificent Secretary of State, and Hillary has already said she wants off that hook.

Ryan was not a desperation pick, but a well thought out and considered choice.  Obviously much more so than Biden was.

However, for Obama to now pick a female or anyone else over Biden, would be the ultimate in desperation and pandering.  Maybe Obama should go with some "wise Latina" and lock up the Hispanic and women's vote.

Slow Joe's debate coaches are scrambling to come up with a one-liner that he can blurt out to zing Ryan with at some point during the debate.  Something for the DUmmies to focus on that will make them exclaim Bazinga or Home Run and then claim victory.

Does the Zero need a VP? Jesus didn't need one. Ghandi didn't need one. So why should the ch0sen one need one?

Oh, yeah, he didn't screw this country up on his own. Someone else did it, and he needs a scapegoat.

If he wants to pick a minority woman, he could always pick Elizabeth "Fauxcahontas" Warren.

Romney could've named anyone his running-mate with nary an impact (perhaps a small one, but negligible) on his winning.

I'm not sure the primitives truly understand how big, how strong, this "anybody-but-Barack-Milhous" momentum is.

They want the choice to be a desperate move for the Romney campaign, so they're busy trying to convince each other of it.  Kind of sad, really.  Their assumptions have no basis in reality but they're willing to believe them anyway.
