Reid aide divulges details on source of Romney tax claim -- then retracts"This person is an investor in Bain Capital, a Republican also, and somebody ... who has been dealing with Romney's company for a long, long time and he has direct knowledge on this," Parra said. Parra's statement comes after Romney, in an interview with Fox News, challenged Reid to identify his source. However, after some media attention on Parra's radio interview, Parra issued a statement taking those remarks back. "I do not know the party affiliation of the source, how long he invested with Bain, or his relationship to Romney beyond the fact that he was an investor with Bain Capital, as Senator Reid has previously stated," he said.
Fox NewsThis is so stupid. That doddering old man needs to retire.
Since O has bought into the Romney tax cheat meme, Romney should make a big show of going to an IRS field office and turning himself in, only to be told there is no evidence of it.then turn to the press and say "I guess I'm not a tax cheat."
Better yet. Post all the crooked Democratic congressmen and staff who are either behind in paying their taxes, have not filed or have been cited for tax evasion. Romney should point out that those that do not pay their taxes will be prosecuted. He can use those 20k that Obama hired to go after the real tax cheats. There are hundreds of millions of tax dollars to be collected from those special characters who work in government jobs.
a quick legal question, Can Romney sue Reid for slander??
No. The allegations were made on the Senate floor and gives him immunity from legal action. Now makes the claim in flashlight Nevada, then Yes.
