This is just something I stumbled across this morning, I found it entertaining as well as instructive.

Quote
If you have failed, somebody along the line ruined it for you. There was a lousy teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unfair American system that caused you to fail. Somebody benefitted from your demise. If you’re a loser, it’s not your fault. Somebody else made that happen. The Titanic didn’t sink on its own. Corporations and insurance companies made a lot of money off of it, so they must be complicit. The point is, when we fail, we fail not only because of our individual shortcomings, but also because others have teamed up behind your backs. Vote for me — I’ll punish the guilty and give you what’s rightfully yours.

The rest is here...

I highly recommend that you read the whole article, heck I even found the comments section interesting.

A clean resume, or one filled with failure and corruption, are all career enhancers for the libs.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I tried, but my eyes got tired.  :)

Anyone who believes any and all "individual achievement" was accomplished only by a societal collective is a lost cause.  They think "the collective" was a volunteer group who now deserves to be paid from the rewards received by the individual.  The fact that everyone in the "collective" who was hired for a purpose along the way was duly paid for their time and efforts is purposefully forgotten.

The entire notion is just ridiculous.

You didn't read the article did you?

The point of the article is to debunk the quote in the OP.

I owned up to not reading the complete thing.....but.....

I was agreeing with the debunking.  Honest.

I'm glad I didn't get called on for not reading the article. The only defense I would have been able to muster would be "Read Schmead".

All I read was the OP excerpt and knew the article stated someones excuses for failure and blame for others successes.

Maybe it's the crowd I associate with but I know more people that came from humble beginnings to become men/women of means than I do people Inherited/given means.

I believe in this great country of ours the biggest stumbling blocks to success are fear of failure and/or the unwillingness to put forth the effort required to truly succeed.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Beautifully said.
