Cars with logos?
« on: August 07, 2012, 08:27:29 PM »
A year or two back I began noticing cars with logos of candy or breakfast cereal and paint jobs to match. Most of the cars appear to be from the 1980s or 1990s. These are NOT company cars. These appear to be personal vehicles.

The ones I can remember seeing: A Skittles car, an M&M car, a Snap, Crackle, & Pop car, a Snickers car, and a Kellogg's Frosted Flakes car. There've been others, but I can't remember what they were. Just recently I have seen a Honey Smacks car.

Is there a purpose in painting your car to advertise candy or cereal?

Some companies pay people to drive around with their logos on their cars.

I heard you can get something like $400 a month.

No joke? I was wondering if it was some sort of fad.

A couple of the drivers that I've seen would almost pass for private pharmaceutical distributors. Maybe those should hook up with a company like Pfizer instead of candy and cereal.

There's multiple examples of this here in Fayettenam. Virtually all are late 80's early 90's sedans jacked up on 20"+ rims with bright paint and loud music. Many of them give out samples of their advertised product.

It's interesting, but stupid.

That's the same type of vehicles around here.

When is it too much?

I would say they've reached it.

With a nice pause button target on the fender.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
